Came here 10/12/22 Ordered fish jun plate but they gave me meat jun instead. Cashier wasn’t paying attention much to customers she kept talking to her co worker while taking order.

The bbq chicken was uncooked, the tofu looked old and the kimichi was too watery, I didn’t even taste that kimchi flavor. I hope you do better next time.

I gave 3 stars for a couple of reasons. 1. The veggies that I ordered and watch the cook put on the grill were in some oneelses shrimp meal. My meal had veggies that I did not order like Mushrooms and bean sprouts. That was suppose to go with the Shrimp and not with the beef.
2. The beef was suppose to be spicy and there was no spice to it. The other meal that I referred to a second ago had onions and carrot which was not what was ordered with the Shrimp.
3. A large Diet drink was ordered to go with the Shrimp and they put a regular Coke in the cup. Since we are diabetic this is not a berry good practice. Then they told the boss to try it. Defiantly not good if you are diabetic! I wonder if they would be ready for the hospital bill if something had happened!
4. The beef while sliced thin was very fatty.
Now for the good part. The food was reasonably priced and had good taste even though there were a lot of mistakes made. This is the reason for 3 stars instead of 4 or 5.
Now the question, Would I eat here again? Maybe! If tighter control was placed on what was ordered was put into the the order that was placed.

Ordered mini kalbi plate, my friend right before me ordered bbq chicken. Her plate came out within 5 minutes-hot, fast, what she had ordered. She ate her meal before I got up to stand by the pick up area, there was no one in line after my order until a woman came and ordered a vege plate and then a telephone order came in. At 10 minutes I figure they are cooking it, at 5 the forgot and it wasn’t ready for 20+ minutes until I asked for my $ back. WTH? Lost a customer- Terrible service

Visited the Makaloa one recently I was disappointed. The beef was salty and flavor was not appealing. Cashier was friendly but help was not. The help actually threw the sauce container into the bag. A Micronesian girl. This was my favorite Pearl’s but now I dont think I’ll go out of my way to go there.

So I have eaten here a few times before, and while they were nothing to get excited about before this last time I tried something new. I tried their new garlic chicken. It was yum. It was reminiscent of the Korean fried chicken at Zippys. I have since decided that Pearls will now be my go to place to eat when I visit the mall.
Their veggies are ok. I think all these fast Korean food places are the same. I suppose its better that I have nothing really to say about the ban chan as opposed to negative things to say about them
So yes, I will be back for the garlic chicken here.
