I was craving pasta, and my boyfriend and I found Antique Table online after seeing all the great reviews — and wow, it did not disappoint! The fettuccine is homemade and absolutely delicious. I originally wanted the carbonara, but since it wasn’t on their holiday menu, I went for the chicken alfredo instead. It was super creamy, the chicken was tasty, but the pasta definitely stole the show.
I also had a coconut mojito, and it was one of the best I’ve had in New England — refreshing and perfectly balanced. My boyfriend got the chicken parm sub, which I thought was just okay, but he liked it.
The ambiance is so cozy and vintage — if you love old-school charm, you’ll definitely appreciate it. I really want to go back to try their short rib empanadas (I’ve heard they’re fire!) and hopefully the carbonara when it’s back on the menu.
We took the commuter rail to Salem, which was super convenient. If you’re driving, just note that in October — especially on weekends — parking can be tough to find. We went on a Friday and saw some spots around 8 PM, but plan ahead just in case.
Overall decent italian spot in Salem!

After a super welcoming entrance, we sat down at the bar and grabbed a margarita and glass of wine. We ordered at 6:29 (have a text i sent to my friend at that exact time— that’s how i knew). Around 7:00 the bartender mentioned she’s going to check on the food, came back and said it would be out in 3 minutes. I waited until 7:15 to ask if we could get it to go. She continues to say yep it’s right up next. Continue to wait another 10-15 minutes after that. Then, she comes out and says that the back room is extremely busy and that’s why they were behind. My husband goes out back, and there’s a group of about 6 people just getting their food. I get restaurants get busy, but the lying and trying to avoid us while we were at the bar is unacceptable. And to make it worse, as we’re paying she says “i took off the tip on this one.” Excuse me?
After we got home, we opened up the food. the shrimp scampi was pretty good i do have to say, but the pizza was absolutely horrendous. A frozen pizza would’ve been better. We paid $97 for a marg, white wine, this pizza and a shrimp scampi. The pizza was extremely disappointing and i will not be returning.

My wife and I went here on 2/27 and the food was not how we remembered. Grant it it’s been 3 years since we’ve eaten here so maybe things have changed. We had the meatballs as an appetizer and it was really good, we really enjoyed the homemade marinara sauce. So when I ordered chicken parmigiana as an entree I had high hopes. Unfortunately they didn’t use the same sauce, and my meal was almost soupy and bland.
The service was really good and ambiance was very relaxed and we really enjoyed the decor. Our waiter was very attentive, friendly and checked up on us making sure we had everything we needed.
Overall maybe the entree was just bland as a 1 off and we will give them another try down the road.

I went on a solo date and made a reservation which was unnecessary the place was empty when I got there surprisingly for a Friday night. I got a passion fruit mojito which was really good. All thought the food was great I do think they were slightly over priced (as everything in Salem is) still the food was great. The app recommended by the server Briana was good and the gnocchi and shrimp was great sauce was silky and buttery yum!

Full restaurant reservation for Rehearsal Dinner & Welcome Party – In late August of 2024 we hosted our wedding in Ipswich / Salem. After researching, and visiting a dozen venues in the area, we landed on the Antique Table to host our rehearsal dinner (30) and welcome party (100+).
– Planning / Communication – Maureen who handles all of the events is an absolute gem. We visited the restaurant twice for dinner prior to the event to try different items and talk through details with her. She was unbelievably accommodating with adds and tweaks (menu, alcohol options etc) and always available for a phone call.
– Food & Drink – Rehearsal dinner food can be quite bland, but this stacks up to the North End. We had a wide range of option for apps and entrees.
– Location – very centralized location right in downtown Salem with plenty of nearby parking. Most of guests walked front heir hotels.
– Venue – The front dinning room comfortably held our 30 person dinner with room to spare. The back patio was great for hosting welcome drinks as most of our guests spent their time outside. We had a buffet of apps set up in the back dinning room which was convenient for those going to the bar.
– Pricing – great quality for food and venue as compared to other venues. We never felt nickel & dimed, and were their #1 priority.
Overall, it was a great experience start to finish with nothing but compliments from our dinner guests.

We live close to Salem and took our extended family to Antique Table last week. First of all the ambiance is amazing, so cozy, like you’re in an old Italian place with lots of history. Our waitress was so super nice and attentive, I forgot her name. To our surprise in addition to an Italian menu they had Latin American dishes. We had 6 people, so we tried dishes from both menus and everything was fantastic. There were quite a few people in the restaurant, but it was not loud. Our grandmother really appreciated that and we all could carry a conversation and hear each other. Antique Table – we will be back!

This restaurant is outstanding! As you can see, I gave all three categories five stars. The food is absolutely incredible, service is warm and friendly, and the atmosphere is very cozy. Depending on the time of year, you may have to wait a while to be seated, especially if it’s in October near Halloween. I would strongly suggest that you make a reservation if you are planning to go there during that time. Otherwise, things run very smoothly.

The place is really cute so I was hopeful. We sat down and had to wait 10 minutes to even get waitress to come to us. Our appetizer took over 30 minutes the calamari was so overdone it was little rings of breading only. The food was mediocre and the drinks were horrible. After we got our drinks and expressed that they were t right two times, we were finally then told they had no limes but they let us order drinks that require lime and said nothing. The lady next to us had to wait 45 minutes and ask multiple times just to get a glass of water. She says everything she orders was tasteless too.

We chose Antique Table for our anniversary dinner — Italian is always our go-to, and in Massachusetts, I expected it to be top-notch. The atmosphere delivers classic Italian charm with cozy décor and family photos lining the walls. The food was excellent, and the service overall was solid. The manager, however, spent most of the evening talking with one couple and never checked in with us, which felt a bit odd. Still, the food made up for it — we’d return next time we’re in Salem.

After reading some great reviews we decided to have dinner here while visiting Salem. Unfortunately the entire experience was bad, the restaurant was empty except for two other tables and it took 30 min to ask if we wanted something to drink. When we ordered and waited a long while again with no server coming up to us in the meantime and then they brought out the wrong food. When our proper order did come out it was room temperature at best and was not great. I had the Marsala and my husband had the chicken parm. Not typically one to write reviews but for the cost of this restaurant I would highly suggest you find somewhere else to dine.
