Always great food. I had a tough decision between my favorite Greek dishes and Italian dinners I wanted to try. The lasagna was marvelous: baked in a dish with a blanket of melted mozzarella, it was hot and steaming all the way through the meal. The salad was fresh and delicious, and the garlic bread was crusty on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. It’s a hometown diner-type establishment in an older building. The server was attentive and polite without being intrusive and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.

Ordered pizza here a few days ago and it was pretty good. Definitely better than the chain pizza restaurant that are around the local area. I haven’t tried the Italian or Greek menu as I’m a little snobbish when it comes to Italian cuisine I want it to be authentic and unfortunately, you don’t get that a lot in America. So for the purposes of this review the pizza on a scale of one to 10 it’s probably about a seven whereas Pizza Hut Domino’s Papa John’s would all right between a 4.5 and a 6.1.

1st time here during the Fall festival. Server was great and very busy but food came out as ordered. We had the Gyro Platter special and it was awesome. I had to take some of the fries to go (awesome portion and large). Great gyro and tezziki sauce. Great little place to grab a bite when visiting Lavonia. Highly recommend.

We’re local so eat at Bella Bella a fair amount. We got takeout today for lunch with my mother in law, and what a disappointment. My mother in law and I both got hamburgers. They were so over cooked that there was literally resistance when trying to bite into them. Very dry and woefully unseasoned. The fries on the other hand were so undercooked they couldn’t be eaten. Poor tasting food, and enough times with exasperating service mean I won’t come back. They have a captive audience in this little town- it’s a shame they can’t get it right here.

Went to Bella Bella today for the first time with three adults and two babies. Service in the beginning was okay, until we got our sweet tea. In my opinion the watress, wha was very nice, made two distinct errors. The first was to not tell us about Lavonias water before serving us our sweet tea. Lavonias water has been a problem for some time now. Apparently. And the tea just tasted like it was made from water from a mud puddle. The second, I will share at the end of this rant/review. Once the food came, the kids spaghetti pasta sauce was tasteless. The pizza i ordered had a funny/yucky taste to it. Almost like the muddy tea water. The chicken Parmesan was nasty with the same tasteless sauce with the cheese on top barely melted and lack of that browning of the cheese. The potato skins were burnt and tasteless with little slices of ham. I was going to take the skins home and try and doctor them up myself. However when the waitress started to remove empty plates from our table, she took the remaining four potato skins and the babies second piece of garlic bread, which was tasteless as well. And the second mistake our waitress made was not telling us that the debit card reader was down and luckily we had the cash for the meal that I truly regret even having to pay for. None of this falls on the waitress, except not warning us about the muddy tea water. This restaurants menu needs a complete overhaul, at least the item we were served. Or they need to be shut down. Which eventually will probably happen anyway if they don’t fix these issues. And,as long as Lavonia has these water issues, they certainly should not be using it for anything, except maybe the dishes and the bathroom toilets. People of Lavonia, Georgia should be livid at the water situation in their town and get them to do something about that right now.

Stopped by as we were passing by Lavonia. Simple and down to earth family Italian place. Great food, huge portions and we really liked our waitress. Wish we had a place like this near us.

So, I saw the reviews and feel a bit bad about not rating higher, since everyone seems to really like the food here, but I, honestly, can’t give high marks to the food. Maybe because I am Italian and cook everything from scratch, not sure.
The space is nice and clean, and it’s nice to get a table by the window.
The food was just okay. Eggplant Parm was a bit greasy, although the pasta was cooked well. The sauce was extremely bland. It’s so simple to make a good tomato sauce, but maybe the area has dictated the level of flavor (I find most of the food under seasoned around here).
The Gyro meat was good, although maybe frozen, not made on property? Didn’t ask, just going on taste. Odd it was paired with french fries (not very Greek). Won’t get it again. Probably try a pizza or calzone next time.
Chicken Parm was same as eggplant parm in taste, same bland sauce, but was cooked fine. My son was underwhelmed. Seemed frozen too.
Service was fine and efficient. Choice of music was horrible on sound system, especially when they could set the tone with Italian or Greek background music. Too loud, also.
I know it sounds like a negative review, but it’s more… just not a recommendation to make a special effort to come here. I would come again in a pinch, but with less expectations.
I would say that, with a little effort to provide more fresh and homemade ingredients, they could definitely elevate their status with those who know authentic and homemade food.
Of course, I’ll try it again and see if this is consistent or just an off day. I’ll revise my review then…

I came here today to have the lunch special of Eggplant Parmesan for $6.99 that included garlic bread and tea. It was very good. I came just after 2pm so I missed the lunch crowd. Michelle was a wonderful waitress. Will be back again to try other items off their menu.

Visiting with husband and 3 college age children. I had chicken parm…very good. I enjoyed the Greek fries with ranch and parmesean. Tina, our server was funny, welcoming, and had a great sense of humor.

I stopped by because I was in the area and I was hungry. This little restaurant did not disappoint! The menu selections were many without being overwhelming. My chicken parmigiana sub practically melted in my mouth. It was excellent! I sat at a little table with a view of the town square and had the most pleasant lunch.
