Passed by this fish camp for years but finally had a chance to stop and eat here. Glad we did. This is an old school type fish camp (google that term if you don’t know what it means). Very southern. Old school decor. Great food and service. I had fried shrimp which was great. Wife had fried flounder and she loved it. It was a great experience and the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend.

Me and my family ate at Jones tonight and it was very good. We all had flounder filet and I honestly think it was the best I have ever had. It was cooked perfectly and really thick.
The waitress was very nice and really down to earth and kept our cups full the whole visit. The place looks a little rough on the outside but some of it is upgraded on the inside but looks great considering I use to eat here when I was a kid in 1977. Can’t wait to come back and try some shrimp and oysters.
Thank you Jones Fish Camp and staff

The service was slow and the food was close to inedible. The only thing good was the French fries. The flounder didn’t taste fresh and the shrimp wasn’t good either. The coating was kind of gritty like corn meal. I was very disappointed and will never eat there again.

Worst seafood place ive ever been to. We were seated and the table wasnt cleaned yet. Even after it was wiped down it felt sticky. They had painted the laminate tops and everything stuck to it because it was so gummed up from cleaners.
My wife ordered steak & I ordered broiled shrimp with garlic. Her steak was undercooked but had a bad freezer burn smell and taste. They made and served different shrimp than I ordered. They offered to make it right but the shrimp was overcooked and rubbery.
The slaw was chopped so fine it was gritty and rhe tater sauce tasted more like relish.
We live in the area and havent been in years. We won’t be back. I didn’t even take photos

My wife and I had a wonderful visit to Jones Fish Camp . I had last visited with my Mom and Dad years ago and it brought back good memories of the time when we were there.

This used to be the place to go back in the day. I remember when I was a kid and we went by there, and the parking lot was full and people were parking on the side of the road to get in there and get good fish. Now, it’s overpriced and they don’t give you enough to eat. The last time I was there Paid 29.95 for a seafood platter and ate every bit of it! Everything in the on the plate, including the hush puppies. Used to be if you paid that much for food at Jones Fish Camp you would have half the box to take home with you, but not now. The whole flounders start at $35 and go on up for whole flounder. That’s just ridiculous to have to pay $35-$45 for a whole flounder. I don’t care if it is fresh. The slaw is soggy and had it been made fresh every day. It would be good but now it’s just cabbage that sits in vinegar overnight , so strong you have to strain the cabbage out so you can eat it. I kept trying to go here because I used to like the slaw and the fish but when they started cutting back and not giving you enough to eat, but charging you an arm and a leg I just have to say no . A week after I paid $30 for their seafood platter and didn’t get enough went to Lincoln Seafood and paid $18 for a seafood platter and got so much fish and took half of my box home with me. Sorry Jones Fish Camp but you’re a dinosaur of the past I believe. Only the diehard will still come and pay those exorbitant prices, but our family can’t afford to eat there anymore . So sad. The best location was when Roger had Jones Fish Camp up on Springs Road. They gave you plenty to eat and our restaurant stayed packed for four hours lined up out the door. We made 55 gallon buckets of slaw fresh every night and we wouldn’t let it sit in the refrigerator and try to re-serve it the next day. That’s just disgraceful, graceful and uncalled for. Don’t waste your time.

This was some of the best seafood I’ve ever had, served by the friendliest server I’ve ever been served by. I got a small order of the flounder and it was more than enough to fill me up at a reasonable price. The building itself wasn’t fancy, but it wasn’t filthy or in any way off like some people have implied.
Three of my friends came with me, and they all really enjoyed it too.
This is a great family restaurant.

Everything was great. The food was piping hot when brought out to us. My salt & pepper catfish on the bone, sweet potato & fried okra was excellent. My fiance had
catfish filets, coleslaw, & baked potato. He was also well pleased with his meal. The atmosphere is ’60’s charm & absolutely spotlessly clean. Service was great.

Garrett and his team at Jones at the best. Been eating at Jones for many decades, always top notch, fresh, cooked perfectly, tasty and great staff. Had whole flounder, oysters, scallops, onion rings and baked potato, red sauce/cocktail sauce. All delicious. . Keep up the great job, Garrett is one of the hardest working, honest people I know.
The best seafood and friendly service around.
