For one, this is the 2nd time we have come to this location & the food is not all the way heated up… we walked out before we checked our food unfortunately .. not only that but we got the wrong order. Not the 1st time this has happened.
For two, the high chairs never work & actually keep the baby in the chair, so it’s never safe or pleasant eating inside.
For three, a worker argued with the customer because the customer (us) was upset that they dumped the leftover smoothie down the drain instead of putting it in a little cup for our 12 month old & 26 month old. Protocol says they’re not supposed to, which I can understand. However, the fact that the worker continued to have attitude back to the customer is what is not okay for a business. In business, the customer is always right. The whole situation was handled unprofessionally by the worker/workers.
We walked out & decided not to dine in this unpleasant atmosphere with conflict with the worker.
GO TO ANOTHER TROPICAL SMOOTHIE! It’s worth the drive to go to Chester…

I used to get smoothie bowls all of last year (2024). Granted, I hadn’t been in probably 6 months (and I also never got a bowl from the colonial heights location), but I’m just flabbergasted about the changes in their bowls. I used to regularly get the green bowl that they had and the açaí one. I never had a problem with eating them. They literally used to be the consistency of a smoothie. That’s why they’re called smoothie bowls. Today I got the bahama mama bowl and the entire thing was a block of ice (except the toppings).
So I went back inside to ask why it was frozen. I thought they were made fresh (again, I used to get them all the time). The manager informed me that they are not made fresh and that I needed to let it sit for a while. Who has time to let it sit for a while? I’m on break. Of course that’s not mentioned on the menu. So I asked to get whatever bowl isn’t frozen. I selected the Greek yogurt bowl, received it and left back out. Then I realized the yogurt bowl is a few dollars less than the bahama mama so I went back inside to inquire about the difference. The manager simply gave me a full refund. I didn’t ask for a full refund, I just wanted the difference. But I’m glad she refunded me because if you look at the photos, the blueberries are fresh, but the strawberries clearly aren’t. They’re frozen, thawed, and on the verge of spoiling. I didn’t get to take a picture of the bowl that I originally ordered, but the strawberries were the same.
I’m satisfied with how the manager handled it, but I won’t be returning to TSC. Definitely will not be back.

Tropical Smoothie in Colonial Heights only gives 1 day to pickup your Birthday Smoothie! This is senseless! I was out with family and didn’t have time to pick up my free item! You need to be like other restaurant Establishments and give a person 7-30 days to pick up! Most of my free bday items from stores has given me 30 days to pick it up!!! Some have given 7 but having to pick it up on the very Birthday is definitely meant for your customers dissatisfaction and keeps you from giving anything away for FREE! What a Stan in the back!

I’m disappointed with the communication with this store. I made a delivery order which I only received the drink and not the quesadilla as well which i ordered. The driver informed the store didn’t have it, only the drink and that they would refund what I didn’t receive. I tried calling three times for confirmation but no one seems to answer. I want my money back.i called back and spoke to a great worker name Jolie. She picked up my call and let me know the dasher left part of my order and that she would remake it for me. I appreciate her kindness. So I rerated them a 4.

So I can’t cancel an order and I can’t get a refund for an item not in stock that was ordered. To say I’m disappointed in this place is an understatement. Never again will I go to this store .

I haven’t been to a tropical smoothie in a while and we don’t live near this one so it was the first time here. But these are the grossest smoothies ever. They are super chalky and not blended well. I’ve never gotten. A smoothie that was so gritty. And I order the exact same drink every time. No other TS makes drinks like this. We got 3 smoothies and they were all blended the same way. And mine had a peanut skin in it but mine wasn’t suppose to have peanuts. I’m not allergic, hut I wonder about cross contamination.

I went in this morning to get a smoothie before I had to go to work. When I walked in there was nobody there to take my order. I had to stand about 5 minutes waiting on someone to come to the front. When they finally did, they acted like they had something better to do than to take my order, while having an attitude . While I was waiting on my smoothie a woman came in to place her order and kept saying Hello to try and get someone to come take her order. I was not at all impressed. When being a cashier u can change a person’s day with how u respond when they walk in and u can make that time and experience for them. Not have them feel like a burden.
