Huge thank you to the ladies there this past Thursday for helping me make this special day even more special. When I asked them to look at my gender before I looked myself they were so excited for me, and didn’t make me feel silly. Thank you guys for being the sweetest! I also got a carrot cake bar while I was there and it was amazing.

Ordered a cake and on pickup day upon arrival I was told cake was not made. They made the cake quick and it shows. The taste was not up to par, and then ordered cupcakes they look messy and sizes were un proportionate. Frosting was poorly mixed and you can see the smears of white, and came loose in a big box no cupcake holder and not great for transportation. Considering this is a bakery the presentation should be professional.

I ordered a cake over 24 hours in advance called at 12:00 pm next day to confirm cake was ready as I requested it to be ready at 12:00pm. Was put on hold they couldn’t find my cake… located the cake it was not completed as they had to add happy birthday, name and balloons. I received cake half hour late and the writing was sloppy. I am all for supporting local businesses but for $45 it’s a small cake and horrible quality.
Responding to owner: I was the one who picked up the cake and told the girl it was very sloppy I had told the person I originally placed the order to I needed the cake by 12:00 pm I called to make sure it was ready at 12:00 as I was on my lunch break. Was told it was not ready just needed to have happy birthday, name and balloons added Should be ready by the time I got there. As you can see it was clearly rushed. I didn’t have time for you to make me a new cake as I was on my lunch break and it was for a coworker. You clearly made an error on the name and scooped out the mistake without flattening the area before fixing. Will not be coming back here.

I come here everyday Tuesday for breakfast. Honestly the best bacon egg and cheese on Long Island. I would definitely recommend getting it on their homemade rolls. We also recently got a cake for a party and everyone agreed it was one of the best they have ever had. Definitely getting all my cakes here from now on.

We come to Stanley bakery because people suggested it. We went and the 2 young girls working behind the counter on Saturday afternoon were more interested in talk to each other and couldn’t be bothered to ask us if we needed help. When one of them was waiting on us they still carried on their conversation. Very poor customer service. We got the rainbow cookies that were not that good as well as a small lobster tail with cannoli cream that was too sweet and threw it away. I don’t think I would go back there and would not suggest it to others. Really need to train staff better on customer service skills.

I have been going to Stanley’s for 50+ years for jelly and cream donuts. The donuts I got last week were so disappointing! They were worse than Dunkin Donuts! I could tell as soon as I picked the cream donut up that it was much too light! Usually when you pick up a Stanley’s donut, you can tell right away based on the weight that they are going to be overfilled with cream. This donut was so light! And when I bit into it, I didn’t bite into any cream! If you know Stanley’s donuts, you know it is basically impossible to bite into one and not bite into cream. What a disappointment! It only had a dab of cream in the entire donut! So I tried the jelly donut and I was equally disappointed. As soon as picked it up and I could tell it was much too light. Bit into it and no jelly. Stanley’s should be ashamed of themselves! Maybe they had a newbie filling the donuts. I am going to give them one more shot and if I get the same mediocre donuts, I am going to have to find a new bakery. Get your act together, Stanley’s!

I drive all the way from Nassau to this bakery as it’s hard to find consistent bakery’s where I live. It’s worth the drive everytime…

I usually do not go to Stanley’s being that I don’t think their baked goods are anything extraordinary. However, I was in a rush and going in that direction to a party. Went in for a holiday tray of cookies. I asked an older woman how much the rainbow cookie platter was and she didn’t know off hand, she had to walk over to the register from the other end of the counter and look it up. She could’ve just asked someone next to her. Mind you, it’s Christmas time and there were dozens of the same cookie platters laid out with no price tag. You should probably know how much they are. I almost passed out when she told me a pound and a half of rainbow cookies was $35. Was the jam made from berries you harvested? There were maybe 10 small rainbow cookies on that platter. I felt robbed and now another reason why I don’t shop there.

Wow, what can I say. Long line went very quickly. Awesome girls working hard and very friendly. Some of the best pastries all in one. My grandma used to go every weekend to get danish and doughnuts from Stanley’s and now so do I.
