Love this place. Food is always fresh and flavorful. Their birria is hands down the best I’ve tried, and I can’t help but order it every time I go. Wish I could get their consommé through an IV. Prices are typical for the area they are in. Staff is always friendly.

The food was absolutely amazing! The colors are festive. But, and it’s a big butt, I paid a total of $20 for a large burrito. I find it baffling that with all this beautiful decor and colors and artwork that no one at the top of this food chain has the wisdom to place a sign on the wall behind the kitchen describing food and prices. Instead, we are made to read the writing on a piece of paper that is black and white and is approximately 11 in. X 14 in. I must make the assumption that profits are running in the red AND paying attention to the customer by having a large display with descriptions of offerings and prices does not a priority. I cannot imagine what it would be like to read the small 11×14 in page at night if you have forgotten your glasses. Also, for whatever reason not once did any of the staff give me a warning that whatever I was ordering was extra. So when I end up at the register with a bill of $20 and surprised, then if I would have asked to change my burrito out. I look like the idiot but not staff. Are used to come here at least a decade ago and thought the service was compromised but the food was good. At least I am convinced that tango mango is consistent. I think I might wait another 10 years and see if anything changes, but at this rate I seriously doubt it.

“ Your Presence is bothering the worker’s behind the counter “
I went on two separate occasions once at 8:40pm , second occasion at 8:30 pm. They refused to make me anything off the menu because they said they were not turning on the oven. (Like my mere presence was bothering them behind the counter because I wanted to order food). That I had to get there before 8:00 pm. I went back to give them another shot, before I wrote this review. They were not at all interested in making me feel comfortable or servicing my food needs . I know good help is hard to find. ( however there must be some that will appreciate the job , clearly not these worker’s ). However this is just pure , awful customer service. Close the store early or put up a sign, if you don’t Cook after a certain hour. That way customers like myself are not left feeling so terrible at the attempted to service our food needs in your establishment. The vibe is not welcoming or friendly. It’s almost like “your presence as a customer is bothering the workers behind the counter “. You have to literally pull teeth to get service , that clearly , they don’t want to provide . How this place is in business with the workers vibe and attitude is beyond my understanding!! The food must be absolutely amazing if people put up with poor treatment like what I experienced. I was not able to try the food yet , so I have no clue. Eat here if you like “ your presence bothering the workers , behind the counter!!!

Possibly the greatest meal I’ve ever had in my entire life this tops. Anything I’ve ever had in the entire universe. This restaurant deserves to be the greatest of all time. It is so good that a review. Can’t even tell you how good it’s possibly is. It’s too good if you don’t come here, you’ll never experience the greatness that is tango mango. The universe is better because of this. I’ve never had anything like it. Thank you for making me have a burrito at tango mango. It’s beautiful. I love it. Thank you.

If you’re craving a quick, tasty Mexican meal without the fuss, Tango Mango delivers in all the right spots. The custom burritos and tacos here are consistently fresh and flavorful, with plenty of choice in fillings and house-made salsas that give every bite a bit of pep. Many locals swing by regularly for lunch or dinner, and returning customers attest to the dependable quality, especially the fajita and southwestern burritos, which are frequently touted as favorites.
Service here tends to be fast and cheerful, perfect for grabbing a quick bite or relaxing with a margarita on the weekend. Word on the street is that the atmosphere gets livelier on Friday and Saturday nights, thanks to a cocktail bar and live music that give the place a fun, neighborhood vibe.

Superb. The food is fresh and delicious and the restaurant is clean. Watch the guys behind the counter. Every time they have a second to spare, they stir the rice, beans, chicken, etc. containers to keep them from exposure to the air. For those ingredients that don’t do well with being stirred (grated cheese, salsa, chopped cilantro), they instead flip upside down and pour them into replacement containers. They people work really hard to get this food as fresh as possible. Healthy, fresh food!

Great Mexican food with plenty of room to sit. Kids love the burritos and they like the name of this place! For me the veggie burrito was excellent despite no tofu option. Friendly vibe, fast service, and solid value. Five stars overall!!!!

In addition to having noticeably better food (and I’ve tried many of the offerings and variations) than Chipotle (not that theirs is bad at all), the seating and atmosphere is much more welcoming. The booths are comfortable, the tables are spaced out, and the south-facing window lets in the sun.
The best part for me is the staff. They always seem genuinely happy to see me. They are very efficient and keep the serving area scrupulously clean.

Myself and my family absolutely love Tango Mango, they really have the best burritos, Tacos & Rice bowls with fresh ingredients & the Tres Leche dessert, my sons favorite, is simply delicious! The staff are always so friendly & sweet, service is efficient & always with a smile. They now have live music every Friday which is so nice! and they have a summer cocktail bar on Fridays & Saturdays…I have had a frozen pina Colada & A regular iced Strawberry Margarita…My Husband tried the Spicy one! they were all incredible, tasted so good, with fresh tropical fruit garnishes, we sat outside in the sun & had a great date night out! Tango Mango offer great value for money for authentic Mexican food, a warm inviting restaurant & atmosphere & a fun/friendly place to socialize..They have upped their game and are worth a visit!

I have been going to Tango Mango for over 20 years, at least twice a month, because the food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with real care. The same team has been there forever, wrapping burritos at lightning speed while keeping everything consistently delicious.
And about those people complaining about paying extra for pickled onions… let’s be real. These are made in-house, not scooped out of a jar. If that extra dollar hurts, there are plenty of chains nearby that will gladly serve you a canned version with zero soul.
This is Newton Centre, not a strip mall. Quality costs money, and it’s worth every bite. I am not a millionaire, just someone who appreciates hard-working small businesses that keep doing things right. Bring back the pickled onions and corn, please. Some of us know good food when we taste it.
