Great location! The new place in mechmechanicsville to feed my sushi addiction. The dinning room is a warm comfortable space. The staff was friendly and patient. The part I was worried about was quality of my food! Well I was not disappointed . The rice was perfect not one roll fell apart and the fish was fresh. If your in the area….dont miss out!!!

Came in during lunch hours on a Saturday with my two brothers and the sushi is very low quality, the appetizers were served cold too. Also they charged me dinner prices @ 1pm, when asking the not so interactive waitress if she had the prices wrong she stated that they don’t serve lunch on weekends… paid $68 for 3. Very disappointing, just go to Ginger Red. Better quality, lower prices & better staff.

Very good for dinner (I did not have any sashimi). More flavor than Sushi King in my opinion. Contrary to some of these reviews, I found the service was just fine (too attentive? really?) and how you spend over $30 for 3 people when it’s all you can eat for under $10 is beyond me. SMH

Perfectly delicious AND fresh food. profesional and friendly staff and a ground breaking system of ordering at the moment buffet. I don’t think I had ever experienced a more wholesome and delicious all you can eat restaurant that those not compromise on quality in my entire life. I truly love this place and feel ashamed I haven’t come in sooner. I can’t wait for my third visit.

This restaurant has now been closed for renovations as long as it has been opened with no update. And they apparently want to change from all-you-can-eat to a la carte.
It looks like they did/tried the same thing at other chain locations. I know I went for all you can eat so it is disappointing that they seem to want to change. Food was pretty good, I’d pay more for the all you can eat local experience rather than it go away.

My wife wanted to order a hibachi plate while my son wanted the all you can eat sushi. The staff very rudely told her that she was not allowed to do that despite no signs being posted and no warnings in the menu.
If you are that afraid of a small woman and a child ripping you off (which my wife would never have done) then you shouldn’t be in the restaurant game.
It may be a little bit of a drive, but the Sushi King over on West Broad St. has way better food and a staff that doesn’t treat you like a criminal.

Good food, good service (but they do constantly badger you about refilling you drink). They are also willing customize anything on the menu if you need. The downfall of this place will price. Make sure you arrive (really) hungry or it will be difficult to eat your money’s worth.

Cold appetizers, dumpling were in cubes and were mushy, awful service and food, too pricey.Sushi was bad quality. Paid over $60 for a table of 3 at lunch time and paid dinner prices. Very disappointed. Will never come back.

Food was great but the service is terrible. Waited over 20 minutes to get my food and the whole time I was waiting no one came to see how I was doing. Just a overall terrible experience and I won’t be coming back to this establishment.
