I never have problems with getting food from this establishment until today. I went thru drive thru ordered a 8 piece roasted chicken. When I got home I opened the box to find fried chicken. I called the establishment to complain & the lady I spoke to told me “well what do you want to do”, “you have to bring back the chicken for me to fix your order”, I told her I wasnt about to drive 20 min again for their mistake & she told me she needed the chicken back or she couldn’t do anything. If this is the type of people yall have working there I will never order from yall again.

Generally no prob with golden chicks..here today made order online arrive says they can’t make my order there’s no more ive already paid..they try telling me to cancel i said there’s no where to cancel didnt even know what the golden chick app looked like…and couldn’t refund me in cash saying I’d have to come in AM I dnt even live in odessa..ask for bottle of seasoning they didnt have that either..settled on the wings they had and tenders..I ordered spicy and ask for spicy when I open the box after I left ((some old fries thrown in why idk))…NONE WERE SPICY! All I wanted was wat I asked for and paid for!

Im not one to complain but this is ridiculous. They added an enormous amount of pickles bigger than the chicken itself and it was also so messy the sauce was even outside of the to go box. There was also a black, wavy/curly, short piece of hair in my food. I also asked for no ice and they gave me ice.

I live close to the original GC in Richardson and am used to the friendly service. However, Jaramiah was great in suggesting what to get and also to get it spicy. Love his service w a smile. Great to have such consistency in y’all’s food and employees. I thought Jaramiah was a tad bit above GC’s already good employees bc when I told him I had to get my wallet out of my suitcase he asked me what brought me to Odessa and more specifically to GC.

The roast chicken was horrible, so salty, for the chicken to be super expensive it’s very disappointing, this went right in the trash. I wouldn’t feed this to a stray dog.

The food is always hot and fresh when we stop here and the workers answer any questions we have. Jeramiah helped us today and recommended the roasted chicken. It was perfect!

Amelia our server/cashier was rude, inattentive and borderline incompetent. We asked for mashed potatoes with no gravy. We were told there no way we can do that! Even though the last few times we were there they didn’t have any problem fulfilling our request. We asked for an extra leg on 1 order & was willing to pay for it. But she didn’t know how to add it to the order. When she gave us our order she left items off our tray. I had to go back & ask for the forgotten items. All of our rolls on or order were stale & hard. Chicken was good. $3.50 for extra sides are kinda overpriced though but are hot & tasty!

Went to order from here, and as I was eating I seen a HAIR in my chicken strip, went back to the restaurant NOT A SINGLE EMPLOYEE HAD HAIR NETS ON. Not one. Half of them didn’t have GLOVES ON. I asked for a refund and it’s been 11 days and still waiting. The manager was rude and was yelling at er employees, the employees are rude, and yell back at the manager, and they have arguments in front of customers and children.

Food quality has really gone downhill. I ordered a 6 piece chicken strip meal. I was told they were out of zing sauce. I guess lack or preparation causes that issue. When the food arrived, the roll was burnt on the top. The taste of the chicken itself has changed not for the better either. I used to enjoy the tea. However, this time, it was so watered down that it had no tea taste at all. While the server was preparing our food, I also noticed she was not wearing gloves. I really used to enjoy eating here. It is my understanding that this location was bought by another company or owner sometime ago. This is when I started noticing changes and not for the better, and its really sad. Please, golden chick management do not replay with ” it appears we missed the mark” and give me some link to report more issues. You know what the issues are. Make the change and stop looking at the cash register.

I hadn’t been to Golden Chick in a while, but I recently gave it another try and I’m so glad I did! The chicken was hot, crispy, and full of flavor. Definitely a big improvement from the last time I visited. I’ll be back again soon!
