Reviews
I didnt get automatically charged for tips like some reviews so maybe that has changed. Overall, highly recommended this restaurant.
Decent parking outside…
Service
The service is prompt and friendly. The servers are welcoming, seated us right away. They are also accommodating of your food preferences, we asked them to make our food spicy and they obliged to our request. The service is a bit speedy than I expected, the entrees were served before we finished the appetizers and soup.
Food
Appetizers: Crispy puffs and Tod Mun both of them were good and flavorful.
The Tom yum soup was pretty lackluster, have had better at different Thai restaurants.
Main Course
Basil Pad Thai – it is a bit sweet, but delicious, portion size was large and the shrimps were large, chunky and delicious.
Red Thai Curry – very light and flavorful curry with loads of vegetables. This was a standout dish, the only complaint doesn’t come with rice ( you have to order it separately)
Basil fried rice – authentic flavors and very delicious.
The restaurant is not over the top expensive but not cheap either, for the prices they charge for the entrees, I would expect a bit more.
Overall great experience will visit again.
They feature lunch priced items Tuesday-Friday from 1130a-230p. And, only open fir dinner on Saturday and Sunday.
Food: I was in a hurry to go get last minute Thanksgiving items and ordered the Basil Pad Thai lunch portion. First bite was sweeter than anticipated. Spice was okay, but I’m picky. I like ghost, scorpion, and reaper peppers…
Portion size was perfect.
Timing: Fast!
GREAT for large groups!
PRO TIP
Call in for pick up OR dine in.
They delivery.
If you like it really spicy just ask.
Ordered two dishes and one of them was barely edible. Despite that we did not complain. Then the drama began: the waitress came to collect the signed bill and demanded more tip even though we tipped 10% (deserved 0% given the poor service: rushed during taking order and put back the bill on the table a few moments after the food was served). She also said that “White american people give 20% tip”. This gave me a realization that the quality of the service here is offered based on the skin color. Then, she kept using embarrassing words to humiliate us and we had to leave the place. Would not recommend anyone to visit the restaurant.
A note for the customers: Be careful. They have a history of overcharging credit cards to compensate the tip amount. Read previous reviews.
I would request the manager to look into this issue, since there are many reviews complaining that the waitress demanded more tips despite poor service.
We called to place a small pickup order, one entrée and three appetizers. The total came out much higher than expected, so we asked for clarification. The person on the phone said we had ordered two entrées, but we explained that we only wanted one. His response was, “You said two, but whatever,” in a very rude and disrespectful tone.
It’s completely reasonable for a customer to ask about an unexpected total, and mistakes can happen, but there’s no reason to respond with that kind of attitude. It’s clear that customer service is not a priority here.
Only exception is you gotta pay for rice if you are going for a dinner.
I usually dont order curry, but oh my, the best res curry i ever had. I work nearby so i come here often. Eveyrhing was consistently great.
