Came here after the museum, starving like we just ran a marathon (we didn’t). Everything tasted amazing though maybe that was just our stomachs cheering. The noodles were tasty, kinda sweet, more fusion than grandma’s Thai recipe.
The basil crispy pork belly? 10/10, husband practically licked his plate like it was a crime scene cleanup. Kids demolished the crispy fried chicken over rice..no leftovers survived.
Staff were super nice and fast. Cute little spot. We’d definitely come back!

Food was absolutely incredible. So much flavor in everything we ate. Highly recommend the crispy chicken with rice. The tom yum noodle soup was also very good. Affordable and big portions. Make reservations since the restaurant is very small.

Flavorful, well made, and affordable! Their lunch specials are very filling, love their street food options. I hope they’ll fix their bathroom door though, it’s a bit hard to lock!

I’m actually shocked at the meal I received (delivery). The chicken is fried so hard it is the texture of jerkey, and the noodles don’t seem to have any seasoning at all (is supposed to have a sesame sauce). I ordered based on the high reviews. I don’t know if this is just a bad night, but I feel like I completely wasted my money.

I ordered a Thai Iced Tea to go and there was a big winged bug in my drink! I slurped this up and felt something in my mouth and pulled out a black long legged bug. This is unacceptable, I’ve lived in nyc my whole life and never experienced any bug in my drinks. If you’re charging more than $7 for a Thai iced tea the least you can do is check for bugs! This is such a safety and health hazard, I would be mindful coming to this restaurant if I can almost swallow a bug in my drink I can’t imagine what’s in the food.

Came in around 3pm on Friday for a late lunch – no wait, immediately seated. I got the Basil Fried rice, with chicken. Food was delicious – idk if I’ve had better basil fried rice anywhere else. It says medium spicy, and it is truly medium spicy; I could finish the dish but was sweating a bit lol. The service was quick and very friendly. They politely warned me about their kitchen closing at 3:30 for a lunch/dinner break.- but I did not feel rushed, it was a kind reminder. Very impressed with this place and will be returning!

What I enjoy most about Senn Thai Comfort Food is how authentic everything tastes. Nothing feels unduly fancy or heavy—just hearty, tasty food prepared with care. The proprietor greeted us with a bright smile, and the service felt pleasant throughout. The basil chicken had an incredible flavor, and the mango sticky rice was ideal. Cozy, clean, and consistently tasty!!!

Food is five stars every time, and the best I’ve had in the neighborhood. Everything I’ve had has always been delicious and well flavored, including the Penang, curry, pad see yew noodles, green curry, papaya salad. I could go on. The owner is awesome. It’s a small cozy place, both casual and stylish. And a great lunch special!

Amazing food, loved the ambience in their small yet cozy beautiful interior. Papaya salad ftw!
Portion sizes:
found portion sizes were appropriate and justified for the price for entree, however could’ve gone a bit more, ~25-30% for salad and calamari!
But remember you’re in the upper west side, other restaurants might disappoint you even further on portion sizes lol!
