I went to ricks off avalon today 12-12:45. I was in the drive thru for 25 minutes and did not receive the correct order. I asked for a chicken sandwich and they gave me a cold bbq sandwich with mayo and pickles. Disgusting. I would think with a combo order they would give you a large or at least medium drink but i got a very small cup with ice and a little sweet tea. I did not receive a spoon or fork for my blackberry cobbler so i had to use my hands. Very sticky. The slaw dog was good though.

Cashier wasn’t real helpful. Asked for condiments for my to go order which was $84 and after asking 4 times I just left with the sauce. She never acknowledged i even spoke. Not friendly at all. I was at Muscle Shoals store on Wilson Dam Rd. No one was at counter ordering it was just myself and my friend. So I dont care to have her take my order again. They weren’t busy. But she was texting or doing something on her cell phone which was more urgent than doing her paying duties at her job

Always friendly staff and the food is always good. Prices are not that much higher than fast food where the food is awful and service worse. Loaded baked ham potato is the best!

I ordered the chicken sandwich combo that included seasoned fries and a lemonade. The cost was $9.80, I gave her a $10 dollar bill and she took it and gave me my lemonade and straw then closed the window. When she returned a few minutes later to the window she started to quote me someone else’s bill and food, and asked me for payment again. I started to explain that I had already paid when she looked at me then down and handed me my bag with my chicken sandwich and seasoned fries. I was so flustered and had a long line of cars behind me so I pulled off not realizing that I never got my change back and I wasn’t given a receipt or asked if I wanted it. $.20 cents isn’t much and I would have been glad to put it in their change or donation jug if I would have been asked or even offered it back. It is just the principle of the exchange I didn’t feel was a good drive-thru experience. Now to the food, I really liked the lemonade and the seasoned fries but the pulled chicken sandwich was only so-so. It was lacking flavor and seasoning. The meat was very dry and plain tasting to me even after I poured the provided white sauce cup on it twice and used more to finally dip the sandwich into it. I have eaten the stuffed baked potatoes several times and been completely blown away by them but I went with the sandwich this time because I was driving home from an appointment and didn’t want to go inside today.

I usually have no issue with Rick’s BBQ so I don’t if it’s this location but the food wasn’t great at all. We couldn’t eat our sandwich from the bread being soaked and falling apart. French fries were old and hard. Maybe it was a bad day at this location. I’ll definitely go to another one next time but more than likely will go to Lawler’s BBQ from now on

Spacious, clean, uncrowded atmosphere. Personable wait staff. The 2 meat plate with pork and beef was exceptional with portions large enough to leave no complaints of skimping. When asked about the beef smoker time was told what I had ordered recieved 23 hours of smoke. The sides of bbq beans and baked potato salad superb. The sweet tea fresh and surprised to find quartered orange slices for drinks. The customers ranged from local offices, national guard, farmers in overalls and families with children.
