The food tasted fresh and flavorful. The dishes all had fun names and I enjoyed the naked granny salad with curried chicken. One minor blemish was the dining area had distinct smoky/grease smell from the kitchen.

Unfortunately, the food was below average and hopefully a bad day for them. The bacon cheeseburger and the “buttermilk marinated” chicken thigh sandwich were both overcooked, dry and lacking flavor. Even the chicken received no help from the bland coleslaw it was sitting on. The 2 sandwiches, a small fry and 1 drink for $38 excluding the $5.32 tip. Most fast food chains will provide better results and save you 40%+. Perhaps they shine at breakfast.

My colleagues and I used Marketplace Kitchen to cater a few work related meals. Nina was fantastic to work with – super responsive, organized, and helpful with putting together our meals. She recommended the right amount of food to order.

We stopped here on our way to Springfield, and had the Chicken Avocado panini and GF wrap. The avocado, bacon and cheddar were fresh , the chicken was tender and the flavor was delicious. We sat outside (the air inside was stuffy/smoky, maybe they need to check the kitchen exhaust?). The outside appears neglected and needs some repairs. Also not sure why the GF version didn’t include a pickle; pretty sure pickles are gluten free.

Ordered the double burger with caramelized onions, chicken avocado, chili, and chicken noodle soup, and fried chicken sandwich, and a large fries. The burger and chicken avocado were really good but the others were average…you need to order at the counter then food is brought to your table, which is first come first serve. We had to ask where us our soup and chili because the serve forgot they were in the order. Otherwise everything went well.

I decided to eat there from a referral from a friend. I arrived in the afternoon fairly busy but service came quick. I ordered a chicken sandwich. I believe it’s called the fog and it’s with guacamole mayonnaise lettuce, tomato and it’s a chicken burger and it tasted OK with the massive exception that they completely overdid the seasoning inside of the chicken meat. You could smell it radiating from the chicken and it completely overpowered the dish. I have come to notice that other people complained about the same issue. I think it would be fair if they just provided the chicken plane And allowed the customers to decide what seasons they want on it if they want to add it

Fast friendly service in a “fast casual” dining setting. Excellent food sourced locally whenever possible, amazing coffee and the Marketplace cafe’s are locally owned and operated since they opened 25 years ago. Come in for great food to give you a great mood! Great prices on Giffords ice cream and house made ice cream sandwiches, gluten free options available too!!!

I loved the food here. Hot and fresh, specially their pies, soups are awesome. They should expand the building and put few more tables. I live near by and it is my daughter’s favourite place to grab some sweet desserts they have over the counter. Their vegan cake is too good.
