Excellent food quality! I’ve never had an incorrect or poorly made order. When you order from here expect consistency. I love that the food is not greasy at all. And the oil they do cook with is clean! You can taste the quality. This restraunt is highly underrated and deserves more buisness.

I grew up ordering from this restaurant my entire life. And I used to tell everyone about how amazing the food was. It WAS the best chinese food restuarant around.
In recent years the quality has plummeted.
Portion size of the main dish on the meal I just purchased is HALF the size it used to be.
The general tso chicken is between 70 and 80% breading.
They only have one redeeming thing, the fried rice is still the best around.
Min Mins in south hadley has way better food. With the exception of their rice.
This was the last time I’ll ever purchase anything there.

Yesterday December 24, 2025 my family ordered food from here online early in the day. Our total was $150, there was a lot of food. Afraid it would be made early and cold by the arranged pickup time, I arrived early. We waited only 15 minutes past the scheduled time as probably twenty people came to claim their orders and 20 others were waiting also. Our food was cooked to perfection! Many of us had never eaten there before but were so happy with their order, they said they will definitely go back again. I’m happy because this place was my suggestion. Well done to this hard working and dedicated staff!

some of the best Chinese food in the area, cant really go wrong with anything on the menu. Vegetarian options are incredible(even though I’m not a vegetarian) and the crab Rangoon is by far the best in the valley. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.

My friend said they are known for their chicken fingers. Omg yum and ouch being so eager I burned my lip. But worth the burned lip. The food was delish. ( so happy that the chicken fingers WEREN’T greasy ) The soup that I highly recommend it the wonton soup. Regretted getting the sweet and sour soup.

Misleading… Overall the food isn’t terrible, however, we ordered a small order of golden fingers which was six pieces, and a large sweet and sour chicken. Or we ended up with was 18 golden fingers because they’re sweet-and-sour and chicken was as shown in the pictures. Golden fingers with sauce on the side. Never had it like this before and they were not willing to work with us on something else. poor service.

I pre-order my food and paid . I then had to wait 1 hour to get my food on new years night . what a ride to sit and wait . Food was good and the order was right and the other people waiting were in good spirits or drunk . Happy Happy

We decided to give North China another try on New Years Eve. They were extremely busy but our food was ready as ordered. The food was much better than the last 3 times we tried it under new owners. It’s not the same as it was over the past decade, but not much is in this world. The portions were HUGE! We got our usual sesame chicken, fried rice, chicken fingers, pork and egg rolls. The fried rice was moist and delicious. The fried foods all had a slight fishy after taste probably from the oil but it was all pretty good. They got our order right and it was a great feast for the price. I am glad we gave them another chance and we will be returning. Happy new year 2025
Updated review May 2023.
North China has new owners and new cooks.
We have tried it 3 separate times now and everytime it was awful. The sesame chicken tasted like vinegar. The chicken fingers were double fried or overcooked all 3 times. The pork fried rice was dry. The egg rolls and crab won tons were hit or miss. The pork was rubbery and had no flavor. We threw it away this last time. 3 full combination dinners in the trash.
A big waste money.
We ALL loved getting North China every weekend in my neighborhood but not anymore.
What a huge disappointment. We have been eating here for over 10 years.
It used to be very busy there but it is quiet and word of mouth has traveled quick in our area. People are very upset with the new owners and quality of the food. Honestly the Chinese food at the Holyoke mall food court is better and that’s not a good thing.
Awesome Chinese food. Very busy place at times. I get the sesame chicken with chicken fingers, fried rice, and bar b q pork dinner combo frequently. It’s a lot of food. Good chicken curry , crab rangoon, house special fried rice , and egg drop/won ton soups. Full bar.
