The spicy chicken burger blends American and Sichuan flavors, with thick, juicy chicken and a crispy skin. The chili oil has layers of flavor, with both spiciness and aroma lasting until the very last bite. Pickles and lettuce prevent the overall taste from being too greasy. The restaurant is small but clean, and the queue moves quickly. For first-timers, it’s recommended to start with medium spicy; those who prefer it spicier can challenge themselves with higher levels – it’s incredibly addictive

Hot Lola’s is a true gem. I went there expecting decent fried chicken, but instead, I was blown away by the flavors that filled me mouth as I took the first bite. Hot Lola’s isn’t just any fried chicken spot; it’s truly special. As someone who enjoys eating spicy food, I can guarantee this place has the perfect balance of spice and flavor. The chicken was perfectly crisp, and the sauce that comes with it was very flavorful, giving slight hints of black pepper and other spices. Originally founded by Chef Tian, Hot Lola’s fried chicken takes Nashville fried chicken and adds Sichuan spices to add a layer of complexity found in no other fried chicken. This is by far, my favorite fried chicken spot. In addition, everything is halal. While some halal fried chicken places don’t quite deliver; I can promise you, Hot Lola’s will!

Hands down the best hot chicken in Arlington. The spice level is legit and that Sichuan peppercorn twist makes it stand out from any other chicken joint. It’s been my go-to for a quick, spicy fix for years. Truly a neighborhood gem that I’ll miss dearly after the Rosslyn one was closed down.

This spicy chicken sandwich here is super tender and juicy. I ordered the spicy level 2, and it was just a tingle of spiciness, everyone should be able to handle it. Waffle fries is very crispy and freshly made. Parking can be a bit difficult here, you might have to drive around to find street parking.

I’ve been here plenty of times and I’ve always loved their food. Normally I get their original chicken sandwich. Today, I tried the deluxe that has lettuce, tomato, cheese, and turkey bacon. I also got the Shy Guy spice level rather than the one above it.
I think the deluxe is not the best form for their sandwich. I think the original with the slaw and the comeback sauce is way better, and it lets you focus more on the flavor of the chicken itself. I also think the flavoring of the Shy Guy spice level could be higher. I think a lot of their flavor just naturally comes from their spicier levels due to the spiciness being an integral part of their whole idea (Sichuan x Nashville). The chicken itself is nothing short of amazing. Cooked perfectly and very crispy. A real fresh tender chicken thigh.
I think their fries are great, even when soggy. I saw someone complaining about the fries being soggy because they use a cardboard box. I hope they realize that any kind of box would make fries soggy and they have an unrealistic expectation of how fries could stay crispy in a box that traps steam to keep the food warm.
I got the yuzu lemonade which I’ve gotten a few times and I like it because it’s a good level of sweetness and tartness.
Overall, love this place, the people are always nice, highly recommend.

Disgusting. Undercooked chicken. I was hungry after a 2 hour workout and could still barely eat this. Bun was soaked even though I opened immediately after it was made and I’m very sure the chicken was undercooked.

The Food would have been awesome. If my Togo order hasn’t been packaged in a cardboard box. By the time I was back at the office. My sandwich and fries were soggy. Also, their idea of bacon is just wide strips of ham.
Other than that, the flavor and heat of the sandwich was perfect. I will give them another try and dine in next time.

Wow! I thought at first that the food would just be ok. Chick fil a was pretty close by so I took a risk by passing on it. Little did I know, this place is FAR better than chick fila. The portion sizes are hugeee. The chicken sandwich alone is extremely filling and there’s enough fries to induce a food coma 10x over. The spice was also decent, I would consider it above white spice level but below what you might expect something spicy to be. I was satisfied wih the flavor though and the chicken was perfectly fried. Crispy outside and juicy inside. I recommend getting the loaded sandwich, it’s worth the extra toppings. They don’t skimp!!! I got the blackberry lemonade and it was delicious. Not overly artificial and a good sweetness level, tastes exactly as described. All in all, Hot Lola’s has superb fried chicken and is a great value!

If you want a dry, but tender chicken sandwich, then this is the place for you! I personally hate pickles, but these pickles I would ask for more if I really wanted to. Their fries are good too. Their tenders are amazing, but they’re too big, so I can never finish them, but I do recommend them
