I’ve been here about a dozen times. Overall, the salmon and burgers are great. Some solid service. The atmosphere feels like Applebee with a premium price about 10 to 15% higher. My kids like the mocktails. I would skip the sirloin. It was the worst tasting steak that I’ve had–very chewy. My fries were cold the last time I came. The side salads are great. Lots of dressing choices and great mixed greens. This is really the only sit down place in town except for Sioux County Livestock. I actually think the food quality and service is similar. This would be better to take clients. It is also closer to the hotels.

Close by both hotels in town and I thought I would venture down as the main street was under construction and the local brewery/Pizza joint was on the other side of the mess. I started with Marto Octoberfest which was fantastic. I educated the bartender that it is Sioux City local brew. There are few other locals on tap but I will get to them after my meal. I started with a side salad which was fresh and tasty. I ordered the Creamy Lemon Salmon Florentine as it is basic. There are signature dishes but a few have so many options I was not sure what made them special. The Steak and Mushroom Fettuccine looked the best but I opted for fish 1000 miles away from any ocean in the heart of cattle and pig country. The Salmon was okay and lacked a well sauteed spinach. Too much pasta but there were some big boys eating when I was in. I suspect the salmon was frozen but was a good low calorie option. (Do not eat all the pasta) After a few bites I remembered there were tomatoes. As I looked around several of the dishes looked amazing. From high end steaks, amazing apps and a very good selection of beer and cocktails. I am very glad I made the walk over and did not drive to a fancy pizza place.

In short I wouldn’t go again. If I pay 15$ (16,50$ with tax + tip) for a Bourbon Burger then I want something special. The burger was tiny, Luke warm and very dry in every way. The bacon was dry, the patty was dry the bread I believe to have been grilled with garlic which was nice but also dry. On top of the patty were 3 or 4 tiny pieces of lettuce and a single small onion ring which contained the bourbon sauce. The sauce was tasty but since it was all within that onion ring there was nothing at first and the. It spilled out in loads. Simply glazing the burger with it would have been way better.
The burger came with fries crinkle cut fries which were pretty soft and Luke warm at best.
Considering this restaurant is out in the middle of nowhere I don’t get why everything on the menu is so expensive. Even the starters were around 10$ (and considering the variety of starters they are most definitely all frozen). Most foods like Salads, Wraps, Burgers, etc
are over 10 and more towards 15 or 20$. Steaks are even more. Overall an expensive place with no very special or good food. It was all the same mediocre food you can get anywhere without any kind of uniqueness that mattered or exited or would make us go there again.
The service was alright but it all seemed very forced and rehearsed.
I personally didn’t feel very comfortable sitting down in that place. Could be cleaner really.

Food was good. Beer selection was pretty good, including a few Iowa beers. Our bartender/waitress was attentive. There seems to be limited dining options in the area so this is a welcome addition.
* A few visits later… 4 Brothers has still not disappointed. I have tried several menu options and all have been really good. On the last visit I had the ribeye steak, it was cooked perfectly. This has become my go-to for dinner when I am in town.

Great location, big covered outdoor patio, plenty of family dining area and then also a bar – like a belly on up to the bar type bar.. and somehow the whole place works as a family friendly restaurant with an area ready for a fun night! Food’s good, there are plenty of combinations of their own making which is also great. Not the same ole same ole. I don’t know what happened to the fifth guy, but the Four Brothers doin just fine byemselves, know what I mean?! 🙂

Good food, the server did a great job taking care of us. I went early and had a nice quiet meal with friends. The soup of the day was very good!

Fast service and a great place to eat. A place to go for work meals or family dinner. Mixed drinks are well prepared. Staff is very friendly.

Decent place. Close to Cenex truck stop. Service was OK. Bar tender was very busy. Steak was grilled well, but lacked something in taste. Nice selection of veggie substitutes!

Food was OK, but holy mother of terrible service. Our waitress was super friendly, pleasant, not rude at all, but that’s about the best part of our overall service experience. Every other drink we ordered came out either wrong or poorly made – e.g., I ordered a margarita but it came out in a martini glass which shafted me quite a bit on overall drink volume. Also ordered a Crown & Coke, but got Blackberry Crown instead. 2 people at our table ordered Bavarian pretzels, but only one person got theirs. People at our table were missing sides, sauces, etc., even ones that the menu clearly states come with the dish. As for other aspects of the service, they were absolutely not busy in the slightest, yet it took about an hour to get our appetizers, and then over ANOTHER hour after that before our main course came out. Literally 2 hours between being seated and receiving our meal, not even exaggerating in the slightest. This restaurant seems like it has potential to be a good place to eat, but I don’t think I want to risk it again so I probably will not be back.
