I normally dont leave reviews or complain. I am just not that kind of person. We decided to do a TOGO order from the Johnnys in Carrollton. On our way home from a long day at a baseball tournament (1 1/2 hours from home) in the very cold wind. We thought Johnnys sounded the best for comfort food after freezing all day at the ball field. We order 2 lasagna dinners with a regular salad and ceasar salad, a steak and cheese sub with fries. Well we got home with the order. Which is a 30 min drive. So its VERY frustrating when the order is NOT right. Especially when it cost over $50 just for 3 meals. NOTHING special just simple dinners. It was HORRIBLE!!! We were missing the bread to go with the lasagna dinners. The Ceasar salad wasn’t good at all. It got picked through but barely ate. After it already had to be picked through just SO I felt comfortable trying to eat it at all. There were NO fries with the steak sub. The lasagna seemed like it was barely cooked. We will more than likely choose another place to give our money the next time. This is NOT the kind of service I would recommend to anyone. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!!!

I went in to order, so I did not have sit down service. However, I loved the style of the restaurant, with the Italian look. The pizza was made wonderfully, and tastes even better! It’s a little more pricey than other pizza shops, but definitely worth it! The girl taking the orders was super friendly, let me know wait times, and was wonderful with customer service.

I’m giving two stars. The pizza is great, but here it is decent and the restaurant leaves a LOT left to be desired. Went in the afternoon, and none of the tables were clean. Barely any customers. This location needs some help. As much as I’d like to give five stars, your disappointing experience, your disappointing staff, the nasty dining room… two is being friendly enough. Get it together, sooner the better before the customers take the hint and find other places for pizza.

I been coming here for lunch for about 6 months maybe like twice a month. I have given chance after chance because I honestly love pizza and it’s near my job. I have had to send me pizza back a couple times & I have NEVER felt welcome it’s more like tolerated. I can 2nd the other when she said non whites aren’t welcome there. The only reason I’m posting now is because this is what my pizza looked like when it came out but the table beside pizza looked fresh & good. I asked my waitress for a fresh slice… she took it back & showed the cook & said something (I couldn’t hear her) but I did hear the cook say out loud OF COURSE SHE CAN. The 2 slice was fresh but it’s clear they don’t want my business so I won’t be returning. And yes I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to non white people.

This place is in serious need of a manager who knows what they’re doing. Husband ordered a salad as an entree and it came out 10 min after he ordered. I ordered a Stromboli and 30 min later, my husband was done eating and I never received my food. Witnessed door dash drivers waiting 20 plus min for their pick ups. Also witnessed another guy picking up 2 orders and they said they made his second order but now it’s missing and they’ll have to make it again; all while his first order is getting cold. I asked to have my food taken off and we only got the salad. Left hungry.

Nice place inside but we came in to eat, had been there 40 mins and when we inquired about our food we were told they are just putting it in the oven and will be another 30 mins before the pizza will be done. Said they just had a lot of online orders come in which made us feel like our business wasn’t as important. Then charged us $35 for drinks and garlic bread when we told them we can’t wait any longer. There was 7 of us and 2 of us had water.
I dont see how they treat customers this way and stay in business.

Updated to say, after their heartfelt reply to my review, noone reached out…

True New Yorker here born and raised, tried this place tonight and unfortunately, Nothing about this place says New York. The dough was too thick, the sauce was chunky and the knots were tiny. Oh and the marinara had clumps of cheese in it … What the heck is going on? It almost reminded me of a frozen Red Barron pizza. Not good. First thing I noticed upon entering was there is no display cabinet to see all the pizza options like you see in every single pizzeria in New York and even New Jersey. I should have known it wasn’t gonna be good when it’s called Johnnys NY style pizza and subs! In NY it’s called a hero not a sub!! There were customers dining in but the place was eerily quiet. Definitely didn’t get the NY pizzeria vibes at all. The only half positive I have was that the staff members were friendly, though not interactive. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and will not be back to this location nor would I recommend it to anyone looking for NY style pizza. This place ain’t it.

Please teach the cooks how to make a calzone. Each topping is located in one section of the calzone. If you order pepperoni and sausage, one bite is all the pepperoni and somewhere close to that is all the sausage. The calzones are getting smaller and smaller.
