We appreciated being welcomed in last minute on New Year’s Eve—that was a plus. However, the atmosphere felt a bit uncomfortable at times due to staff correcting one another in front of patrons, which came across as harsh.

The food was good, though my meat lasagna was a bit salty as I continued eating. The wine was enjoyable. While many reviews mention how busy and exceptional the food is, there were actually plenty of open tables when we visited.

Overall, the food was good but not fabulous. Had the overall attitude and staff interactions been more pleasant, I would have given this place five stars.

The food was delicious. Tomato Bisque, Warm Spinach salad and Meatballs with Linguine pasta. Very tasty and enjoyable to the palette. The service was a bit slow but my wife and I weren’t in a hurry and enjoyed the ambience. Elisa was all over the place wearing many hats. She was superb and gracious. Don’t be in a hurry when deciding on Stella’s. Just sit back with a glass of sangria and take in the moment with your special someone and Mangia!

We enjoyed our meal here. My boyfriend raved about his linguini with meat balls and my salmon with pasta and spinach was also great! I also thought the price of mine—$24–was reasonable.

This was a quaint restaurant, with a low light ambiance and Italian music. Probably one of the best gluten free pizzas I’ve ever had, and for my first time having anchovies at the chefs suggestion, I was surprisingly impressed! The gf. fettuccine had a great cajun cream sauce, and their selection of Chardonnay didn’t disappoint either. If I am ever back in town, I would have to go again!

Staff was so attentive. Love the cute quaintness. Food excellent. Tables and chairs need to be tightened. Every old chair and table wobbly.

Amazing atmosphere for a date or night out. The candles and music give off an amazing vibe. The food was just as amazing as the atmosphere. The chicken parm was perfect and a big portion for the price. Well worth it

God Awful beyond reason. Marko doesn’t need to be in business.

The service was abysmal. There was no introduction beyond a rude and curt demand for an order. When prompted for a taste of wine that’s available by the glass, it was a simple – no I won’t open a bottle for that. The bread was served stale, and the food tastes like it was tossed in a microwave. School cafeterias put more effort into Italian food than this place.

We had to wave our server down, who midway said he was busy. This was not the case. Our server Marko stood by the bar after our food was delivered, and not once asked how was our meal was and if we needed anything else.

Again, and I must stress this, the food was nearly inedible. We sent one of the dishes back and this was followed by asking for the manager. We were told that there was no manager on duty. However, our server Marko admitted (or lied), after repeat questioning that he was owner, to our surprise (especially given that owners and managers aren’t suppose to take tips). We had to demand our stale bread be removed from the bill.

This is completely subpar for any restaurant. Marko shows little to no regard for this job. The service was insulting and under no circumstance is this good Italian. The pasta was overcooked, the veggies were a soggy mess and the meat was dry.

To put this in perspective, freezer aisle ready made meals taste better than Stella’s.

What a lovely surprise! Our first time in Taos. After several days of “green or red chile?” my 11 year old wanted spaghetti for dinner . A couple people suggested Stella’s – but they didn’t tell us what a lovely little restaurant it is! After reading the reviews – I decided to call ahead and make sure they could get us in. They were very kind and said yes, 5:30 would be ok. We were the only people there at that time. What an adorable, quaint, cozy little restaurant! It reminded us of Boston’s North End (“Little Italy”). Think checkered table cloths, dripping candles in wine bottles, old pictures everywhere…. There were only 2 people working the whole place – one cooking and one serving. The service was great, the wait for food was perfectly reasonable. The food was all excellent! The chicken noodle soup was fantastic. The kid’s spaghetti with meat sauce was perfect. We also had the eggplant parm & “chicken pasta”. We all loved everything! So if you are wondering if you should try Stella’s – the answer is YES!!! Just call ahead to make sure they can save you a spot. ❤️

Very disappointing experience. We are vegetarian, and despite there being items on the menu that appeared suitable, the staff rudely said, “This is Italian food, we don’t have vegetarian,” which was both incorrect and unnecessary.

My son has celiac disease. Instead of simply telling us they couldn’t accommodate a gluten-free meal, the staff began arguing among themselves about how hard it would be to make it. This was uncomfortable and unprofessional.

A simple and polite “sorry, we can’t accommodate that” would have been enough, and we would have left without issue. The lack of basic courtesy and the hostile service completely ruined the experience. We will not be returning.

Stopped at Stella’s to have dinner with my family. Everything that we ordered was delicious and the servers were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They made great recommendations! If you love pasta I’d especially recommend Stella’s, they have variety of pastas dishes among other menu items.
