As residents of south naperville, we were always wondering how this restaurant going to turn out. As they built it from ground up and the exterior was grand. But the interior is even better, we were all were awed by the ambience, the interior design of this place. Its just beautiful. It was our first time. Big family early dinner before Super Bowl. Our group was 8 adults and 7 children. They told us out of 15, we should order 13 hibachis. So we did 8 adult hibachis and 5 kids hibachis. We ordered almost every hibachi option possible (except lobster), we did chicken, steak, setanyaki steak, fillet mignon steak, salmon, and scallops. Fillet mignon steak and scallops were my favorite.
To compare to other hibachis in the area, in addition to fried rice, they also give you fried noodles, and at the end, ice cream of your choice (vanilla or rainbow sorbet). The price is similar to others i think, but because of extra items, its better value here I think.
Also, the steaks and chicken are apparently halal (for those who are not familiar, its better quality meat). We will definitely be back.

My wife and I finally made it here. It is well known for hibachi and sushi. Usually i like to do three things we liked and disliked but its a little lopsided today. We liked that the restaurant staff welcomed us in, it was clean, the decor inside and outside was inviting, the food portions were a good size, and the staff was customer friendly. What we felt can use some improvement was the sushi is a little pricy for the portions you get along with other stuff on their menu. Because it was on the pricier side we instead ordered a plate of Jalapeño Steak and a plate of Pad Thai. The meat was tender and vegetables were good on the Jalapeño steak it just need more jalapeños for my taste. The Pad Thai was ok but it was our first time trying the plate so it might be good if you like that flavor. Now I get that its Naperville but if you look at the menu it’s a little on the pricy side. The only other thing was the 18% automatic gratuity charge. Now we did get good customer service but i feel that this should not be automatic or it should be less in case you don’t get good customer service. Either way be your own judge and try it for yourself. Its a toss up for myself to come back but my recommendation is try it.

Wow! Wow! What!?! This evening was UNFORGETTABLE.
The ambiance is so much fun! A much needed gem in Naperville!
We had a reservation and did have to wait still for a table a little while but standard for a restaurant that is so busy!
Our server, Jessica, was attentive and didn’t rush us .
Timed everything perfectly ! She was phenomenal!!!
The quality of the fish was far beyond my expectations.
I’m not sure who Mr Wu is, but thank you sir!

I travel a lot,not just illinois, and I have had Hibatchi at its finest, Puerto Rico being one of them.1rst i would like to say for the ignorant people posting about language Barriers and the taste of food you suck …Sure a little bit of getting used to but on the defense of the cook and staff, Its a loud atmosphere supposed to be that way I love the fact that its like that, they are there to entertain you not please just you. So its not that they dont speak the language, its the pronunciation along with the noise from other tables, I love it i had a great time great food my steak was excellent and my lobster the chef was entertaining and me and my guest all had a great time. Not overrated you get what you pay for good quality food and entertaining chefs sorry I will disagree with other negative post great place don’t take my word for it go see for yourself. Excellent place

We had the pleasure of getting Chef Yuri for hibachi. It was amazing, entertaining and the food is some of the best hibachi we have ever had! Well done! It was our daughter’s 13th birthday and they made sure to take care of her! We had the steak, shrimp, scallop, chicken and squid hibachi and they were all perfect. The steak was so tender! We will be back for sure.

My man and I sat at the bar for a drink while waiting for my cousin. We ordered one mojito. It cost $19.01. We were charged tax and 18% gratuity. It wasn’t posted anywhere about automatic gratuity. We made it to our table and were rushed to order because other guest were already at the table…and the chef was about to come. I immediately expressed my distain for being rushed. Our host…Rafly immediately took accountability and apologized and did his best to make the remainder of our experience pleasant! The food was pretty good..a little salty, however; the experience ended up being great thanks to our host! The environment was very clean and entertaining.

The food at Wu’s House was actually good, which makes the service issues even more disappointing.
When we arrived, I was told I couldn’t order sushi unless I could “prove” that most of my group was getting hibachi. I’ve never experienced that before, and it immediately set an uncomfortable tone.
The bigger issue came at the end of the meal when my credit card went missing. Staff initially told me they found it under our table, which was not true. It was eventually found on the opposite side of the table, and six other people at our table witnessed this. The lack of accountability and honesty was frustrating and stressful.
On top of that, the restaurant was extremely loud — it honestly felt more like being at Chuck E. Cheese than a sit-down dinner, which made it hard to enjoy the experience or even have a conversation.
To make matters worse, after all of this, we were asked for an additional tip.
Good food doesn’t make up for poor service and an uncomfortable atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service alone would make me hesitant to return.

This place is huge and the food here is good! The service charge of 18% is added to the bill not matter the number of people, but the service quality is quite poor. I specifically asked to not add shrimp to the Tom Yum, but they anyways did. Had to ask for cutlery many times. It was not packed when we went, so I wouldn’t blame the lack of service to anything but negligence.
The portion sizes are decent, not too big like I read in some other reviews, and their lunch specials looked really good although we were told they serve the lunch specials only uptil 2:30pm.
The drinks are nice. I’m interested to try their Hibachi and Lunch specials the next time, but again the service charges for the regular ala carte is a little forced imo, for the service provided.

I tried this place out with my family, and overall, we were all satisfied with our experience here! You’re greeted with a beautiful ambiance that truly reflects Japanese culture. What drew us to Wu’s were its halal options, that definitely had to be the biggest standout for us! Everything we tasted was very good!! We did try the sushi as well which was also decent. Our hibachi chef, Gede, was amazing! He had great energy and created a humorous atmosphere-so shoutout to Chef Gede for making our hibachi experience a positive one!

Really good halal food! We got the general tsos chicken, Mongolian beef, pad see ew, and happy roll. Large portions for the price. The food came out really quick also. Our server Lucy was very nice.
