Came here on my way from North Little Rock from work. I got their breakfast burrito and let me tell you that the burritos are BIG. I’m originally from California so good burritos are hard to come by, but there’s? Full of flavor and fillings! They have a salsa bar as well which I haven’t seen much of since I moved but there salsas are delicious! I’d definitely come back here if I’m in the area.

It was alright. The salsa bar was nice but the cups were to small to put it in. You had to continuously ring the bell to get something that should have been available to customers that dines in, for example, napkins and straws. The order kiosk didn’t work properly. It just wasn’t a pleasant experience.

not sure of the atmosphere because I did online order and picked up at drive thru. The young boy working the window was very sweet but my shrimp burrito ( which was huge) only had 3 shrimp in it. I know because after the first bite I decided I didn’t like the tortilla shell so I cut it open and was going to eat what was on the inside but it was straight lettuce, rice, pico, and 3 shrimp.

Elena’s Taco Shop is a solid spot for authentic Mexican food. I really enjoyed my visit — the flavors were rich, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the portions were generous. The tacos were especially delicious, and the salsa had just the right amount of kick.
The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and helpful. You can tell they take pride in what they do. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back.
I was expecting a bit more variety and boldness from the Mexican sauces. They were good, but I was hoping for a wider range of flavors or a bit more heat.
Definitely recommend if you’re craving some great Mexican food in a casual setting. Will be back soon!

Food quality was pretty good. Everything tasted freshly cut and cooked. Most Mexican places tastes like frozen meat and veggies. The sauces and pickled/garlic veggies was a good addition. If go back and I normally do not like Mexican food. I got the bowl and the rice was not your “Mexican rice”. Tasted better.

I ordered the carne asada California burrito with some beans and rice and a Coke. It was delicious and super-filling. I liked the fries in the middle too. It gave the burrito a unique touch. I will definitely order from here again.

We stopped by for a late lunch on a Friday. It was empty when we arrived and while we were there a few people came in. The server was very nice, and we waited only a short time to get our food.
We got 5 street tacos (3 steak, 2 chicken), a shrimp taco, and the carne asada fries. The fries came out first and were very tasty. The fries were covered with fresh tomatoes, onion, cilantro, sour cream, shredded cheese, guacamole and carne asada. The meat was cut small so a bit hard to eat on the fries as it kept falling off, but it tasted good and was a nice sized serving.
The steak and chicken tacos to me were very basic and bland without hot sauce. They had 3 different sauces available at the counter that were good (2 red and 1 green, one of the red sauces was hotter. No lables). I actually ended up putting the extra toppings from the fries in the tacos and that was good. The shrimp taco was much more flavorful, the shrimp were a nice size and quantity too. The fountain drinks were as expected.
We really enjoyed the fries and I would reorder the shrimp taco. The cost was moderately expensive (our total was about $27). The dining area seemed clean and the bathroom was okay. If the chicken and steak tacos had been as tasty as the shrimp or fries, or less expensive, I would have rated our meal 4-4.5 stars. As it was from this experience I’d say it rated about 3-3.5 stars.

Matti, our server was amazing!!! I had the surf and turf shrimp (grilled shrimp and steak). It was super delicious….. my date had Elena’s tacos. She said they were really good too. Guacamole made fresh daily. The green and red hot sauce is made fresh and was just right. Highly recommend eating here.

Cozy little taco shop, has a decent selection of items and the food was wonderful. I got the fries which were absolutely delicious. The ladies working there were very polite and friendly and the dining area was clean. Hope to come here again soon!
