not great sushi, not really even good. ordered the eel and avocado, a spicy tuna and a crunch roll. the eel was MIA, very little to be found. the crunch was just boxed panko. the spicy tuna was just ok. also had some gyoza, fried, just ok again. im not heading back. had to ask for wasabi, they brought over one little bowl to mix with the soy sauce to split for two – so one bowl for two to share? The provided chopsticks said “best sushi in town”, that can’t be true!

Its just a small sushi shop with, you guessed it, sushi! I enjoyed the meal, it was simple. Gyoza, cancun rolls, spicy California, and lemonade. Its a cute little place. I went in the afternoon to eat. Not many people there. My overall dining experience was cozy with good food. I did eat by myself and paid almost 40$

As a sushi connoisseur I definitely recommend this Birmingham Sushi Cafe. The service was impeccable. Multiple wait staff will all pitch in as they’re walking by to the top off waters or ask if we need anything else. We were there on a busy Friday night and didn’t have to wait for anything. The food tasted 4.5 out of 5 stars. We’ll certainly be back.

I’ve never had a bad experience here. The food always tastes fresh, the sushi is yum, and the vibe is chill. They have a great selection besides sushi too. I got some kind of spicy soup that was TASTY! Solid spot overall.

Birmingham Sushi Cafe is a wonderful Japanese restaurant with so many options – including a half page of vegetarian rolls! I would highly recommend the Jalapeno Roll for vegetarians. It was just the right amount of spice and tasted fresh! The edamame was good, although I wish it was flavored as I am used to. The vegetable tempura was delicious! It did seem to get busy on a Thursday night so I would recommend making a reservation.
