I’d say my overall experience was good. My server though had zero personality. I asked for ranch and never saw it or her again after getting my food. I heard they make good ranch and really wanted to try it but no luck. Tried waving her down but she never looked my way or came back to ask how it’s going.
Food was fresh and hot. Everything tasted good. I got the catfish and shrimp. Came with coleslaw and choice of baked oats to or fries. I got fries. That’s what I wanted to try with the ranch. Guess not ♂️

Old fashioned catfish house located in atmore Alabama. Wow! It was great! Super friendly service, ample parking and wheelchair accessible. My steak was fork tender and I never used a knife once! Everything was made to order and generous portions. Very reasonable, sweet tea was just right, and take out orders available. I’ll definitely be back!

Delicious is a word that is very inadequate in describing the catfish, fresh and delicious shrimp and one of the best coleslaw we had anywhere. Very sweet, smiling, polite and friendly staff. Pass up the Sonic, McDs and other fast food places at this exit. Keep going and get yourself to Dixie! Some of the best catfish I’ve ever had! Perfectly crisp and tender. And the sides were just as good! Fine cut slaw and corn fritters…dang good. Very friendly and the portions were huge!

We ate here tonight. It was FANTASTIC! I got catfish filets and shrimp, PLENTY of food and yummy! That sweet tea was so delicious! Tasted like I made at home back in Georgia! Really good prices and great service. No complaints!

We stopped at Dixie Catfish on our way home from the beach, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions we made on the trip. The catfish was absolutely incredible—crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. You can tell they take pride in what they serve, and it shows in every bite.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with that down-home Southern charm that makes you feel like family. The service was fast, friendly, and genuine—just good people serving great food.
If you’re ever passing through, do yourself a favor and stop in. Dixie Catfish is the real deal. Easily some of the best catfish I’ve ever had in my life, and that’s saying something!

Latesha made one good burger. Mmm mmm mmm mm you know we Jeep and we eat. Riding the back roads and dirt trails of Florida. This time we ventured north into Alabama. At the end of the day we stopped at Dixie Catfish Hwy 21 Service was super friendly with a fast turn around. Holly put up with all my jabberin and kept our drinks full. The price was good and your portions we hearty and filling. Great fries and Randi got some fried chicken livers…. So if you just finished the Panhandle adventure drive on up and grab some good food.
