I generally like the food at Pork Chops but after many visits am still disappointed with the pork ribs. They charge you over $32.99 for what the menu says “Full Rack”. A full rack of ribs has 12 ribs. Pork chops consistently gives me three or four of the very smallest ribs and the rest are just trimmings that they call ribs. There’s actually no rip bone in it. It is horribly chewy and plain cheap. I have actually asked to include more real ribs in my order, but they still insist on only giving me two or three ribs and the rest is called the chine bone. It is typically what is cut off in either thrown away or ground up. The pictures below are the scraps they call “Ribs”. It typically makes up about 3/4 of an order. I would not mind getting them if they also gave me the rest of the real ribs that were originally part of the rack. What happened to them? Who eats those?

I love the Hawaiian chicken and pork combo. The flavor is great and you get such a big portion. The coleslaw is perfectly seasoned. Can’t wait to try the tres leches cake!

Went here recently for lunch. The brisket was quite lean and thick cut. It had a very good taste and the BBQ sauce enhanced the flavor quite a lot. The menu has a large selection and I will return in the future. The staff was very friendly and brought the food to our table even though it was counter service. They also checked toward the end of our meal to make sure all was as we expected. A very nice experience.

First off, be careful with your ordering. Consider all the combos to be enough food for at least 2 people. I ordered the rib and Hawaiian bbq meal ($27.99) and what came to my table was enough food for maybe 4 people. The paella was yummy, but full of broken shells. I would definitely come back here for the food. #DELISH

If you know about Portuguese food do not order the empanadas or the picadinho!!! Horrible taste, definitely not authentic. The empanadas were burned and the dough had an aftertaste. The Picadinho (Chicken and shrimp) had only 4 small shrimps, and the potatoes were barely cooked. Definitely not a good experience. Also, don’t go by the prices they have here in Google. Here the Picadinho is $18.99 when is really $23.99

Pretty good portion for the half rack. A little annoyed that the plantains were up charged for a side and then you only get 4 half pieces. That was not worth it at all. They were tasty though. The ribs were good. Just need a little bit of bbq and perfecto. They are on the pricey side but overall, wouldn’t mind getting this again.

8/1/23 – My wife and I have driven past Pork Chops BBQ many times when driving around Flemington. Tonight, we decided to stop and have dinner and we were so glad that we did. We ordered the Picadinho (with pork and shrimp) and Pork Skewers to share. Both were fantastic. The Pork Skewers were prepared with a slightly sweet marinade. The Picadinho was very flavorful and the portion size was huge. The staff was friendly and was very helpful since we were unfamiliar with this cuisine. There is ample off-street parking. We will be back!

Deeelicious hole in the wall totally worth a short detour from 202. We ordered combos that included 1/2 chicken, 1/2 short ribs, 1/2 pork ribs, and Hawaiian bbq pork. Each combo came with 2 sides so we ordered cole slaw, cornbread, fries and plantains. We loveddd all the sides, I love a slightly more sour cole slaw so it was perfect. The plantains were also classic and delicious. Corn bread had actual corn kernels in it and was awesome too!
Of the meats, I enjoyed the Hawaiian bbq the most and the pork ribs 2nd most. Hawaiian bbq is slightly sweet with a real nice char grill flavor. The pork ribs were super tender and fall-off-the-bone. Each of the meats didn’t have too much flavor themselves but dipping in bbq sauce made everything way better. The beef short ribs were nice and thick, I usually like my short ribs with more marinade though (kbbq style) so it wasn’t my favorite but still tasty. The chicken was my least favorite but still solid, it was just a little dry for my taste.
Overall highly recommend this place for some delicious bbq meats – def not your classic all American bbq place slathered I’m sauces but SUPER tasty and worth a try!!

Portuguese BBQ is a favorite of mine. Pork Chops is pretty good, portuguese bbq with some southern BBQ menu items thrown in. A brisk take out business keeps the food fresh. Our pork ribs were good, Cole slaw, Veggie sides were just okay. French fries got rave reviews. The pulled pork sandwich looked amazing. The people at the counter were nice and efficient, I’ll go back when I’m in the area.

Stopped at Pork Chop’s BBQ Flemington on a business trip for lunch . Wow, food was excellent. The dining area was a little small but the staff were very attentive and food was ready in under 10 minutes. I got the half rack of pork ribs which were perfect, possibly the juiciest and most favorable ribs I’ve ever eaten. If I’m ever back in this area, I will certainly stop in again.
