I believe my friend got a regular beer for her drink.
Great atmosphere and amazing staff!! Definitely will be going back again!
(And yes I took a bathroom selfie because I loved the walls)
We ordered the breakfast burrito and an omelette and both were really good quality and hit the spot. My son was all about the chocolate chip pancakes, which were fluffy, sweet, and definitely kid-approved. This place feels like a hidden gem where you can grab a relaxed brunch, watch football, and actually enjoy yourself without the crowd. You order up at the counter and patio is dog friendly. Chips are also made to order so they come out nice and hot. We also enjoy the salsa bar they have, I really like their hot carrots!
It was pretty bad. I looked up vegan option in the Oceanside area (12/31/2025) and ended up here during a holiday, though wasn’t sure of their hours but it we got there about 40 minutes before it closed. We were met with: “the cook is coming back soon, he went to take out the garbage.” Which was foreshadowing to how garbage the food was going to be. lol
He made the food in about 3-5 minutes and you could tell he just threw some ingredients together really fast and warmed the food up. It’s really unfortunate that this was the worst burrito and bowl That I’ve had in the past 12 months.
He put on a ton of jalapeños, but barely any cheese. It was just overwhelmingly Littered with poop pickled jalapeños.
It wasn’t all on the cook, but bartender was nice, but the host definitely seemed like she was checked out for the day and wasn’t interested.
I hope this place gets better. It’s unfair to have this kind of service & be charging $20 for a sad defeated burrito snd the same for the bowl.
Good luck. HNY
Cold beers were on tap and in can for the special. We had a few cans of Tecate. One of our group enjoyed her half-nachos that looked like a full portion.
Standard cantina service and fair prices make Señor Grubby’s a good pit stop or even full meal and hang.
I still travel across southern California, Nevada and Arizona selling steak, seafood and chicken off a truck, just not as much as I used to.
I still enjoy hitting every dive bad, greasy spoon and habadashery a long the way and sharing them with you.
I was not expecting to review this place yet because I was just popping in for a cheap, quick bite I didn’t think it would be fair to evaluate them based on that. Boy was I wrong. Chanel took my order and was friendly and fun laughing along with my foolish banter and Damien manned the grill.
$5 carnitas quesadilla is what the sandwich board said so I went with that.
GTFO- LOOK AT THE PICTURES.

Knock back a few beers at the Stone brewing tasting room across the street and then tell Chanel and Damien Damon said hi!
