Absolutely delicious***** Skip the Loves and come here instead! Damn this was . I looked and called all along I-20 for some decent red beans and rice. They even had fried green tomatoes! Their tarter sauce is homemade and seasoned properly, their fish and chicken, fries.. nothing was greasy & it was all perfectly cooked and seasoned.

We spent $25 on 4 people. Ordered only 2 dishes, the double burger and the 6 piece fish, but portions were big enough for the 4 of us and we even had leftovers.

If you want more for your money, then this is definitely a place you want to try. We always have leftovers as they are generous with the portions. Food is really good. Would give a 5 but even on call in orders they aren’t started until you get to store. I understand because people order and don’t come and they lose money so it’s a small inconvenience.

Went here while traveling. I got the chicken strips and fish which was ok. My girlfriend got an oyster poboy. The oysters smelled horrible. She ate part of the sandwich and got sick. I would not go back to this place.

I almost didn’t walk in when I saw ”Cash Only” posted everywhere. But I tried it anyway because as a tired and hungry truck driver, I was hoping for some good catfish. Well I ordered 4 pieces of catfish, fries, red beans and rice and hush puppies. I got 2 catfish fillets and 2 fish sticks that were very tough and rubbery like had been extruded from a machine . Very hard to bite. And tasted like very strong cod fish or something. The “hushpuppy” was a dinner roll or something similar of bread , not fried corn bread. I only ate it because I was tired and hungry. I don’t recommend eating here. Looks like this place is in the process of going out of business……Catfish is usually really good anywhere in Louisiana, but not here!
