This traditional smash burger that sears and caramelizes the meat, resulting in crispy, browned edges was delicious! YUM! I got mine lettuce wrapped, which actually worked with a fork and a knife. Every bite was delicious because the onions were carmelized to the burger also. We shared the loaded fries which were amazing!! The photo does not do them justice! Right now there’s just 3 picnic tables outside. Sitting inside with air conditioning would have been a nice atmosphere. Hopefully it will be available in the future.

My favorite burger! I’ve already been back 4 times and have yet to try any other spot in the Redding Market. Such a quality burger and fries, amazing dipping sauces too! Everyone working there has been so friendly too. Highly recommend this place for a great cheeseburger and fries in a very cool environment!

Watch out In and Out! This place is fantastic! Simple menu, simple ingredients. Watch them fresh grind the meat for the burger. Best restaurant in the new Public Market. Added bonus, they already have the mobile ordering app set up!! So skip that line! I’ll add pictures next time if I can hold myself back from inhaling the burger instantly! Another note, super fast and super friendly crew!!

NOT TRUE SMASH BURGERS. Ordered 2 cheeseburgers for me and coworker. Co worker got the right order and double Pattie’s , I got a plain hamburger it was dry and bland.These are not smash burgers they are just thin Pattie’s the texture is steamed burgers over a seared one, seems like they sell it as smash burger to cut cost on regular size Pattie’s. Fries are not cooked in tallow either. Disappointing for my first time I definitely won’t be back. Card only as well which isn’t a big deal if you pay online

We went a bit out of our way to try DJ Smash on a road trip to McCloud. Will most def come back when we are passing through Redding. The best cheeseburger I’ve had in a long time and the fries are not to be missed. Amazing deliciousness!!!

Very disappointing. The cheeseburgers are so thin you can’t even taste the meat. The fries say small but more like a mini, but the fries were good. My cheeseburger came with one tomato and each cost $12. The fries are $5 each. I don’t mind paying higher prices if I get a good burger. I was hoping this would be my new burger place, since they cook in tallow. I’m just going to stick with Bartels where you actually get what you pay for.

Burgers are fire, with or without cheese. Fries and really good thick fry sauce. Outside patio seating with fans to move air. I got the double smash with cheese and small fry. . Didn’t get any photos before it was gone. My order was 17.00 . Reasonably priced and very well worth it.

The burger was great patties weren’t thinner or anything. They were actually a good amount of meat. Fries were really good much better than any fast food I’ve ever had and their sauce is the best and if you decide to stay there and eat there, they have misters outside to keep you cool in the nice hot sun so you can still enjoy the fresh air, but be cool. This place really has some going for it.
