Visited during January low season for dinner. We were greeted by Josephine, the owner, who was warm and welcoming and showed us to our table. Orders were taken promptly.

We chose the set meal for three: starter, main, and ice cream. Chicken soup starters, egg fried rice, sweet and sour chicken (x2), and beef with vegetables. Food was satisfying. Drinks were a pint of fizzy orange and a small bottle of water (quite small).

Service throughout was attentive, polite, and friendly. Overall, reasonable value for money and a relaxed, enjoyable meal.

I have to post this as I completely don’t agree with previous review. Awesome people working there were hurt by such words for their hard work. I didn’t really plan to eat there but we saw a soup in menu that sounded good as something warm to eat before bed. I walked in and very friendly lady (sweet auntie) welcomed us. I decided to order big set: soup (typical Asian soup that is a bit thicker (thickened with starch- for the person below me who knows sh*t and yelling about lack of his knowledge), second was huuuge portion of rice with beef (omg, melting in my mouth) and veggies. After that I was SO full. It was so good, typical asian food cooked by grandma in China. Set was finished with ice cream (you have a choice). How can it be better for 10.80€?! I was so full, happy, after few hrs not heavy anymore and in the morning I’m feeling good (I have a bit sensitive stomach). Go to auntie and say hi! Wish I could come back.
No soup pic as I was too hungry

The staff was very friendly and helped us decide between different dishes. We got the Great Wall beef and it was delicious. The stir-fried noodles and egg fried rice was the perfect pairing. I loved that the food was served on a hot plate, it’s a nice added touch. I can tell they put a lot of effort towards the decoration (both exterior and interior) and it was a nice restaurant to enjoy a meal.

The location is the only thing that works here, because everything else is a disappointment from start to finish. The interior looks like no one has cared about it for years. The atmosphere is flat and the whole place feels tired and neglected.

We ordered chicken chow mein, pork chow mein, two soups and vegetable spring rolls. The first warning sign came immediately: we waited over thirty minutes for the soups and nearly an hour for the main dishes, even though only three tables were occupied. That’s not a “slow day”, that’s a complete lack of organisation.

When the soups finally arrived, it was clear something was wrong. The texture was almost gel-like and the flavour was practically nonexistent. It’s hard to call this a soup – it’s more like something you definitely don’t expect to be served in a restaurant.

The spring rolls were another letdown. Small, thin and almost empty inside. It looked as if the filling was added more symbolically than realistically. They were nowhere near worth the price.

But the worst part came with the main dishes. The chicken chow mein was watery, bland, the noodles were hard and the chicken had no flavour at all. My wife couldn’t eat it. My pork version was just as bad, if not worse. The meat had such a strange texture that it was honestly hard to believe it was pork. The taste was almost identical to the chicken version, meaning basically none.

I ate some of it because I was hungry, but a few minutes later something started happening that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. My stomach began to protest immediately. First the bubbling and cramping, and soon after a very strong stomach-intestinal reaction. By the time I walked out, I felt awful. This is the kind of meal that makes your body feel like it’s fighting for survival.

Based on this visit I can say one thing: this place should not be serving food in its current state. The quality, the preparation and the way I felt afterwards all point clearly to something very wrong.

I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. If someone wants to eat properly and feel normal afterward – not like after a culinary disaster – it’s better to avoid this place completely. This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I can remember.

Found this gem right by our hotel! The owner was so sweet—she made sure our food came out extra quick since we had our baby with us. Excellent hospitality and the chicken fried noodles were a total hit. Thanks again for being so kind!

We loved this lovely restaurant, the food was excellent and the staff so accommodating with our dietary requests. Food freshly cooked, the curry was out of this world (they ask how hot you want it) and the service impeccable. They do takeout as well, and are open til after 1am most nights I think!

Lovely meal made all the better by great service with a smile and attention to detail … nothing spectacular just good honest food cooked as ordered with extra spiciness followed by complementary liqueur and coffee … portion sizes are huge so be careful not to over order !

Pleasant and efficient staff, food quite good, coke was the syrup kind not real coke but cant really complain about food atmosphere or service, so why the low score, asked the lady could she kindly call me a taxi as i forgot phone and although hotel only around corner being disabled i couldnt really manage the walk. Taxi there was 3euro with the tip. The lady said she would call a taxi for me but instead called her elderly husband who came and pretended was a taxi, was in car no more than two minutes to get to my hotel and then demanded i give him 10 euro? I got a bolt taxi otherday to valletta which was a 40 min drive and only cost me 11euro. I was fuming but eventually handed him the money. Spoiled what was a lovelly evening. So all in all, worth a visit if fancy chinese meal but be wary because if the lady could sink that low to pretend to call a taxi i cant help wondering what else she would be capable of, i meen i had already gave a decent tip. Wouldnt go back meself because of that reason but cant really fault the food.
