We enjoyed a delightful meal at Yamas Greek Eatery in Plymouth, NH. The welcoming atmosphere made us feel instantly at ease. Our server, Josh, was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and remarkably knowledgeable about the menu, with a charismatic charm that enhanced every interaction and spot-on suggestions.
The Greek cuisine was outstanding, among the best we’ve tasted in years: fresh, authentic flavors in generous portions that left us satisfied with leftovers. Standouts included the tender grilled octopus, a variety of flavorful spreads, stuffed dolmades, and the hearty Greek mixed grill, which offered an impressive array of meats. We’ll return soon—highly recommended! 5 stars.

What a treat this lil veteran owned place is. Had high quality bar drinks and the food was so flavorful. The portions were plentiful. The cheeses and the sauces took you to a Greek wonderland, as it should …. the octopus was a thick cut.

I absolutely love this place! I’ve been there four times in just 15 days! The food and service are fantastic. The bartender did such an awesome job with both the service and the drinks!

Yamas was hands down the best food I’ve ever had. I ordered the pita bread burger and it was unbelievably delicious. It’s been three months and I still think about that meal all the time. The service was excellent, and while the outside is unassuming, don’t let that fool you—the food inside is absolutely incredible. If I’m ever in town again, I will 100% be back.

Great restaurant! The staff were very nice and the food is on point! My wife and I have always loved avgo lemono soup and it is really good from here. It has a nice amount of shredded chicken in it and it is a great price for the amount. Personally, I don’t like too much lemon and this was done exactly how I like it. You also can’t go wrong with the dolmades! I hope that we can make it back here someday to try their moussaka!

We stumbled upon this place on our trip back home on Sunday evening. Relaxing atmosphere and delicious food! We ordered four different dishes and everything was absolutely amazing. Music was pleasant and just enough of background noise to actually be able to have a conversation. We will definitely be back.

Found this place after attending a local track meet. They were able to seat our party of 6 with no waiting. The host was extremely personable. Quaint decor. Our server Jake was awesome. He was able to put together off menu fried chicken wings for our picky 5 year old. The lamb gyro cut was a little dry, sadly. But otherwise, we had a wonderful experience.

I am no expert at Greek food but you can’t go wrong with this place. The red brick walls were very inviting and the food was great. We went on a beautiful summer day and the wall to the outside was open with a dining bar through it so you could sit on either side. The food was tremendous! We did the Alifies ( all spreads ), followed by Pita Wraps, Chicken Horiyatiki and then rice bowls. The desert was great as well! ( Baklava and Chocolate Mouse ).
The place has a kids menu as well so you are all set if you do go with kids.
The Falafel and Rice Bowl turned out to be my favorite!

Finding authentic Greek food in New England is a tall order. I’m admittedly no expert on Greek cuisine, but I do have some ideas of what it’s like, having visited Athens a couple of times. However, the best Greek food I’ve ever tasted was in a small restaurant in London, but Yamas is certainly in the top ten of my Greek food experience. Food is tasty and finely prepared, much improved from when they first opened. Service was great. Overall a very nice experience. Recommend.

Weather permitting, the wide open street-facing dining room reminded me of Lefkas, Greece. I’d give you 5 stars for Atmosphere if you’d play traditional Greek music instead of Billy Joel. I like Billy Joel, but his music doesn’t evoke Greece.
No problem with the Service. 3 stars means satisfactory.
The food: the “Greek salad” had about 4 olives, a little bit of Feta, supermarket flavorless Roma tomatoes. I think it cost $16. Correct me if I’m wrong. On my half dozen visits to Greece they use local farm produce full of flavor, give you a big block of Feta and plenty of olives with a salad.
The Spanakopita seemed made from puff pastry, not Filo. There wasn’t enough spinach to tell if that was spinach. I didn’t taste any Feta.
The Moussaka had a good bit of ground beef, a tiny bit of eggplant, I couldn’t tell if it had potatoes or “red sauce.” It was rich tasting, and not like its description on the menu. By “rich tasting” I mean it tasted unhealthy. Not like the Mediterranean diet Greece is famous for.
I offer this as constructive criticism because I think the owner does care and can improve.
Suggestions: buy local NH farm produce; don’t skimp on the Feta, spinach or Greek olives; heat up the pitas. Otherwise they taste like they’re out of a plastic bag.
Good luck!
