The food is excellent. Similar menu to the owner’s other restaurant (Gold Rush Cafe), but there is more seating and better parking than in downtown. They have a few basic restaurant staples, but for the most part the menu is mostly uniquely exclusive items or foods you don’t normally find, in Paducah anyway. The staff is attentive and truly personable, they treat you like a human and not a potential tip. I highly recommend you give Ken’s a try. They are open all day, but it’s my favorite breakfast stop in Western Kentucky.

Our favorite breakfast spot in Paducah. The food is amazing, better than amazing….. the service is just as great. We always feel very welcome and receive top notch service no matter how busy they are. If you want home type cooking, creative menu options, CHEAP prices, and a clean family friendly enviroment, then Ken’s place is where you want to go. The kids will LOVE all the super hero decor, as well.

Fried clam heaven!
Truly masterful use of cracker crumbs and a mollusk
I have been delighting in fried clams for fifty years and have enjoyed the “best” throughout Southern Maine. But, by far, Ken’s has set the gold standard. The oil is heated to perfection so your clams are crisp, the crumbs aren’t burnt and there is no greasy after-taste.
And, lest you think perfect seafood can’t get any better, add in an incredibly friendly staff and you have the complete Ken’s experience.

The meal I got was fantastic. I ordered the Big Red Chicken sandwich flavored with Nashville hot sauce and an order of mashed potatoes. I’m not normally into spicy foods but, this sandwich has made me a believer. Plus, the mashed potatoes tasted homemade.

An offshoot of the Gold Rush Cafe (which is also incredible), Ken’s Place has elevated many standard diner dishes. I love that they get experimental, today the special was a Reuben mac and cheese (which was delicious), so don’t be afraid to get weird, the payoff is worth it! Pretty sure they also serve all day breakfast which is a winning strategy with me.
