Holy moly just discovered this place and the food was excellent. Portions, pricing, quality, everything was exceptional.
Did have to wait about 10 minutes to have my to go order taken at the checkout counter but they were very busy and it was lunch time. Happens.
Got a fajita burrito and side of refried beans and you could tell everything was fresh and good quality.
Chips and Salsa is always an important barometer for me and they were on point. Lots of flavor, a little heat but not excessive, and didn’t taste like marinara thankfully. Chips came out still hot too. Salsa had a very slight sweetness to it but not overwhelming.

Found this by searching best rated restaurants in the area when passing through. I am so happy that I did. The food was amazing. The portions were huge, and the prices were very reasonable. Added bonus, there was a very talented singer playing while we were having dinner.

I am not exaggerating when I say this is some of the best Mexican food I have ever had in my 35 years living in the Shenandoah Valley. Iguana Azul absolutely nailed it in every possible way. We ordered the taco salad, tamales, chips and guacamole, and the molcajete burrito, and every item was outstanding. The portions are incredibly generous, the prices are more than reasonable, nothing is overpriced, and every single bite tasted fresh. You can tell the ingredients are high quality and prepared with care. All of these things are extremely important to me when ordering takeout.
On top of the amazing food, the pickup experience was completely seamless. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. If I am being completely honest, I was NOT expecting it to be this good. The reason I am raving is because the food truly felt homemade, which is not something you usually experience with takeout. It genuinely tasted like it came straight from an elder’s kitchen, made with love and tradition.
Iguana Azul is amazing in every aspect of the word, and I will 100 percent be back to dine in. Highly recommend.

Lunch buffet from 11-2, Tuesday thru Saturday. We stopped here to try the buffet today, and it was great! The food was hot and fresh and tasted like it was made with high-quality ingredients. We will come back to try menu items next time. Everyone was super friendly as well.

One of my all-time Favorite places to eat. Staff is always lovely. Lunch Buffet is great as well, but make sure you get there during the time window. Highly recommend their Molcajete Burrito and their salsa is to die for.

This is my second time here in two years. The first time, I was not impressed with the food or atmosphere. It was okay but I would have chosen another restaurant. This time around was a much better experience. The place looked nicer on the inside, and they had a lunch buffet! The service has always been good, with helpful friendly staff. The food was better this time around. With good portions for your money. However, something about the taste of the food will keep me heading to other Mexican restaurants. For me personally, it is lacking just a bit in some areas, in others, outstanding flavor. Regardless, they are back in my rotation for now. Go out and give them a try!

Had dinner there last evening . It was the best Mexican meal I’ve ever had. Quesadilla – Texana was just the best. The shrimp was outstanding and very portion friendly. The service was excellent. So happy to see them busy and thriving. Kudos to you Iguana Azul–Will be returning.–!!

I was told about this Mexican restaurant weeks ago and decided to give it a try for lunch. Walked in and was greated fast and seated. Didn’t know that they had a buffet so to keep it simple I had the buffet.
The time was about 1pm and I found the restaurant clean, the restroom clean.
The food on the buffet was presented well and looked orderly.
Everything I put on my plate was tasty and I finished it all.
I always say the best way to judge a restaurant is, would I return. Darn right I will.
Give them a try, I think you will enjoy your visit.

Wow, just wow! First of all, FRIENDLY service. But the food outshined the service even brighter. Everything was flavorful, from the pineapple jalapeno margarita, the complementary salsa, even the “lowly” rice was perfectly seasoned & cooked. Truly one the absolute best Mexican restaurants we’ve ever visited, they’ve set the bar high! Prices were on point with great portion sizes, come eat here!!
