We were help by Mel and Dori who were great. They ran a valentines day special for a good deal and we had plenty of food! We got seated in the back on the West side and it was a bit chilly for my liking. Otherwise our server was fantastic.
Our server arrived at 7:15, giving us time to reflect on life choices. We ordered waters, drinks, and dinner all at once to streamline things. He offered complimentary bread (remember this detail — it becomes important later).
We also had a $50 food voucher, which felt like a fun bonus. What we didn’t realize was that it apparently came with a complimentary side of chaos.
The first drink on the menu — the brand-new featured cocktail — was unavailable because they didn’t have the ingredients. For the newly arrived first drink on the menu. Bold strategy.
By 7:30… still no waters. No drinks. No bread. We had to flag down another waiter just to obtain the elusive glass of water. Hydration should not require networking.
Our food finally arrived. The complimentary bread made its grand entrance after the entrees hit the table — and we were asked again if we wanted bread. Yes. Yes, we did. About 40 minutes ago when hope was still alive.
We finished dinner and then had to ask yet another waiter for our bill. Our original server reappeared to take payment and then disappeared again for a solid 10 minutes, perhaps searching for the ingredients to that first drink.
Hands down the worst restaurant experience we’ve ever had. At this point, I feel like they should have handed us a voucher for emotional damages to pair with the $50 one we brought.
If you’re looking for steak, service, and cocktails actually available on the menu — you may want to explore other options. If you’re training for patience and personal growth, this is your spot.
While I wish I could have tried exactly what I ordered I have to admit it was pretty good.
I ordered the 2 sausage breakfast tacos which was also suppose to come with side of fruit, I was really looking forward to the fruit as much as the tacos.
My plate arrived with hash brown and egg in a yummy albeit maybe a bit crunchy homemade tortilla -no sausage. Also no fruit. I was told the fruit is no longer being served with that plate and advised they update the menu. They brought me a side of sausage to add to the tacos.
My date ordered a mushroom omelette that was cooked to perfection and not brown from being overcooked, his came with a side of hash browns, as well. He was impressed. His pancakes were delicious. They had that authentic pancake flavor that one expects from a pancake.
The service overall was not great, it was slow and being busy didn’t seem to be a cause. The food seemed to take quite a while to come out too.
I’ll be back as I do want to taste their biscuits and gravy. I hope the service improves.
Initial review: Pretty poor first impression. I called about 10 mins prior to arrival to confirm they were open. The lady on the phone seemed energetic and friendly with a resounding yes, and recited the hours untill 11pm, it was 9:30pm so we had time. We arrive to 4 other people who make a remark as we walk up that maybe WE will get some service. Because THEY had been waiting for awhile. Finally someone comes by and sits the THREE parties waiting. The service was at a snails pace. The food not the best, the broccoli cold, the fried shrimp NOT fresh hot and crispy, more like it had been sitting for awhile.
The manager only seemed to care to replace the broccoli, but we had waited so long for our meal in the first place it wasn’t worth the additional wait.
There was one lady, pig tail braids that wa she most friendly and helpful, mirroring her work ethic would be advantageous.
Disappointed overall. Definitely expected a higher degree of service and food.
Don’t plan on returning to this location
So I felt pressured to hurry and order which we took to go since my food came out way later by time everyone had eaten. My husband’s ribs were very fry and cold. The shrimp was over cooked dry and cold as well. Only thing hot on his plate was the baked potato. Needless to say the night before was super busy and we got vetter food and service then. Do better saltgrass
