Sat down for a bowl of tonkotsu ramen and a bowl of miso ramen on a Saturday afternoon; also ordered up a side of fried chicken dumpling. The crispy dumplings were decent, a bit oily but I enjoyed them nonetheless. The ramen on the other hand were a let down. The tonkotsu broth had a light pork flavor that left you wanting more. The miso broth was the opposite – so overpowering that it was slightly bitter, yet I preferred it over the bland tonkotsu. However, the biggest disappointment were the noodles. They were overcooked (as were the eggs) and too soft. As a whole, the bowls were ok bordering on meh. You want ramen? Go to Takkii.

I LOOOOOVE THIS PLACE! I’ve come several times and I’m so happy with everything I’ve gotten. I recently went to the new ramen place in west reading and I can say that San’s ramen is way better. I will always recommend San’s to my friends. Also, the workers are so kind and nice!

The food used to be better but it seems to have gone down hill depending on who makes your food. They’re always out of certain stuff in the case and it takes forever to make the order if it’s not already made in the case. We were served a piping hot shrimp tempura in a roll and on my poke bowl so by the time I got home, the whole order was warm. (We live less than 10 minutes away) They also made the poke bowl with the wrong sauces- they put spicy sauce on it, so I couldn’t eat what I ordered because they put the sauce directly on the bowl when I asked for it on the side in the first place. Save your money and go to Haiku.

My hubby and I just went for the first time to San’s and we will definitely return. We ordered the miso soup with pork and a coconut shrimp and mango sushi. Both were excellent, very fresh. We can’t say enough about how flavorful the miso soup was! We ordered it for take out and they packed the broth separately so the noodles and egg weren’t overcooked, which we appreciated.

A great place I go every week to get my ramen. Their Beef Tonkotsu reminded me a Birria (Mexican Dish) a lot. It was rich in flavor and the beef almost melts into your mouth. The owners are very friendly and humble. Its that one place I can come back to that radiates positive energy and a clean friendly environment. That is why I always cone back.

I had ramen at other restaurants before and believed I just didn’t like it until I ate at San’s Asian Food and Sushi. I had the Spicy Tokontsu Ramen and it was DELICIOUS.
Very friendly staff. I recommend this place over Tikki Ramen. The quality and flavor of the food is no match. Love it!

I wish I can give this place 0 stars, but I can’t so I gave it a one. I tried leaving a review on DoorDash but it looks like they can pick and choose what reviews stay. Today around 1 pm I placed an order of shrimp tempora and crunchy crab rolls. I find the name funny, as it was not crunchy, instead, soggy. Takeout can be an excuse for this but I’ve ordered from Haiku and never received my crunchy roll soggy or, cold… And let me not get started on the crab, I don’t know what brand they use but it’s got to be discontinued. The texture is so odd, I’ve never had a problem with imitation crab till tasting that one. But none of the least if you want something similar to this quality stop at your local supermarket as it’s very similar. (Supermarkets taste slightly better).
