It was my first visit to this restaurant, tucked away in a small neighborhood shopping center in Buford. It offers a family-style Italian dining experience with relatively good service and generous portions. I especially liked the option of choosing between half-size and full-size portions, which is a great idea. We enjoyed both the welcoming atmosphere and the food.

I would’ve gave it a 5 based on service, food and atmosphere but when we went the ac was broken and the ladies were complaining about the heat in the restaurant. The place is nice decorated and spacious, our waitress was very attentive and it was honestly the best eggplant parmesan I’ve ever had!! The spaghetti that came with it and the mussels were great also. The portion sizes are also shareable so that’s a plus!!

The food was absolutely incredible! Portions are huge so you will definitely have another meal out of what you order. We also got the risotto balls for an appetizer, which were amazing. Our server Nicole was wonderful and on top of everything. Tonight was our first time trying Dominick’s and we will definitely be back.

How…HOW have I not been here before?!!? So great!! Let me just tell you about portion sizes. I ordered the half portion of lasagna. This would easily feed three or four people. I know portion size isn’t a huge deal, just pointing it out since this slice was freakishly gargantuan.

Y’all. That lasagna was absolutely delicious. It was almost like a work of art actually, must have been 15 layers in that sucker. Perfect mix of ingredients, and their red sauce is up there with the best I’ve ever had. It’s honestly that good.

So my tablemates had the mushroom ravioli and I think the rigatoni. They have gluten free pasta too, huge bonus points for that, for my peoples who are allergic to wheat.

Oh, we started with cheese garlic bread. It was decadent. Crazy good.

Our server (as always, I forgot to get her name) was fantastic! We wanted for absolutely nothing. Very sweet and attentive.

GO!!!

On my first visit to Dominik’s, I was completely blown away by what I expected to be a typical restaurant but turned out to be an extraordinary dining experience. The food was incredibly delicious, far surpassing my expectations. I happened to come at a good time, which meant my food arrived quickly. Though slightly expensive, you truly get what you pay for here. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff. Despite the higher price point, the quality of the cuisine makes every dollar worthwhile. This is definitely a 5-star restaurant that I can’t wait to revisit!

My wife and I tried this place and love it. The food here is amazing. The portions are large actually 2 people (half portion according to the menu) can share one dish. The salad at half portion is large, where 2 people can share one salad. The atmosphere with the table setting and the music sets the mood. We’re definitely going to come here again!!!

Arrived 10 minutes to 2 pm unaware the restaurant closes for lunch at 2. When I walked in the gentleman sitting at the bar acted as if I was bothering him by walking in. No greeting just what can I help you with. No courtesy just we close at 2. There could have been a pleasant greeting, an invite to come back, or the sense that you have an opportunity to perhaps capture another customer, after all the place was completely empty. I would not revisit based off first impressions alone.

So glad we were invited to an event at this location! We usually go to the location in Norcross as I love downtown Norcross and that’s the location I’ve gone to since I was a kid. Both locations are wonderful and the food is still some of the best Italian around! We love that they serve family style and portions since we have a large family and everything we tried was delicious! From the chicken parm to the veal, the salads were yummy, dessert was good. Great portions and will definitely be a regular again. Both locations are actually equal distance for us, so it will be a debate which we’ll return to first! Thanks for a great time Dominick’s! Still as awesome as I remember from my childhood!

Their food portion sizes are family style. You can get either a half size that feeds about 1-2 people or a full size that feeds about 3-4 people. The price of the portions are actually pretty good for the amount of food provided. Went for a girls dinner and each of us got a half size of our entree which we all ended up taking home.

The worst dining experience I’ve had since moving to the area in 2005!

The waitress did all she could and was very sweet.

The manager, answer the phone person, greeter, seater, bartender and fill in waitress (all one person) eventually stepped in to take our order. She, too, did all she could.

Some guy, presumably the owner and cook, frantically came in and out of the kitchen, tried to clean off a table, dropped a bunch and said he hadn’t even finished his drink at the bar. We assumed he was joking …. but I’m really not sure.

Food time!

BREAD FOR THE TABLE…served with flavorless marinara sauce. No butter, no spices in olive oil….just really bad tomato sauce to dip your warmed up several times, now should have been considered unservable- bread in to.

We ordered the calamari appetizer for the table. Frozen, chewy, and just nasty . We sent this back, and they did take it off the bill.

My daughter ordered the chicken and pasta carbonara. The manager wanted to make sure she understood the sauce was actually an alfredo sauce. Ok. She rolled with it.

I tried to order off a giant menu displayed on the wall just to be told they no longer served half of that. I asked what their favorite menu item was and she said the veal saltibuca. I asked if the veal was actually good/fresh and she said that the only complaint they get is that it’s chewy. I said let’s do it with the
The main dishes were ok at best, again with zero flavor profile. I had a side of angel hair with garlic and oil….the garlic was burnt, which gave a horrible taste to the cheap oil they used….both which ruined what may have been a decent pasta.

We were told the cannoli were amazing and ordered two Look at the picture to see how they were served and placed for us. No apology. No anything. Just put them down and told us to enjoy. They too were ok at best….once we could get to them.

Just no. Don’t do it to yourself.
