The tavern is a beautiful space.And we came in the winter.So I think we only saw part of it. We went at lunchtime and it wasn’t full at all, but again, maybe that’s because we came in the winter. The food was mixed cultures. They had garlic naan. I ate a garden salad and shared with a regular vinaigrette. I also had a sandwich that had naan, chicken and white cheddar.. and potato chips that were homemade.
My mom got a an appetizer of many different types of vegetables cooked in amazing different ways. It was technically an appetizer but really was enough of a main course for her. It’s hard to describe, but each way had a completely different style of cooking.And flavors! the flavors were great.And so unique.
Honestly, my sandwich was good. It had good cheese. I also know that my dad really enjoyed his food, lobster…. and so did my husband.
And I had my first mocktail, if ever., and that was delicious.
Oh, and there was a huge bar. And it looked extensive and the wall behind my husband and II looked like a shelf for tons of wine. They may have been decorative. But there were a lot either way. The bar was huge and wasn’t run down at all.
And it was just beautiful too.I know you can’t eat beautiful spaces but it was a wonderful place to eat and definitely a good place to try!

My husband and I had our after party at DeWolf Tavern. Sydney was so wonderful to work with and was very responsive to any questions or concerns I had during planning. My husband has celiac disease and Sydney and Chef went above and beyond to take a call with us to help curate a late night menu for our guests that would also be safe for my husband to enjoy. This truly meant a lot to us, especially for both Sydney and Chef to take time to chat with us and to understand our concerns. Chef came up with a great late night menu for us to choose from and the food was delicious! The staff on-site at the bar and food station were so wonderful and had great energy helping to ensure everything went smoothly! The space was beautifully decorated for the holidays as well, so it set a really nice and cozy vibe to be able to chat and enjoy extra time with our guests! We also had guests that frequented DeWolf while in the area for the wedding that raved about the food and service they received! We’re truly appreciative of Sydney, Chef, and the team at DeWolf to ensure our after party was filled with delicious food and a great atmosphere!

Nice, historical and great location. Parking is tough in Bristol so give yourself enough time before a reservation to find a spot. Upstairs for dinner, good menu and nice fireplace , great date vibe.

Absolutely enchanting waterfront place spread out on two levels in a beautifully preserved historic building. Soft lighting, low ceilings, exposed brick and joists create a perfect atmosphere, and the menu is filled with classic dishes with an occasional East Asian twist. Our lamb chops were so sweet and tender, with a subtle mint sauce, my only regret is not ordering more! I loved the lobster popovers, quite decadent and portioned generously. Highly recommended.

This was my first visit here. We were visiting friends in RI on a quck trip from Florida. We were about a party of 10. We were seated on the 2nd floor. The atmosphere was quiet, with perfect lighting. The service was a bit slow, but not too bad for a table of 10. Food was good except for the mussels, which were a bit sandy. I had Steamed Littleneck Clams in Cherry Chili Tomato, Garlic, a bit of Curry and comes with Garlic Bread- for appetizer Excellent and the filet mignon with mash. also good.

This was actually a surprise visit. We started at another restaurant, and left after one cocktail for several reasons. This led us to DeWolf Tavern as it was almost next door. The ( specifically Lobster Popover and Steak and Mushrooms) were amazing. The server was friendly, knowledgeable and a delight. We sat on the patio with a view of the water the beautiful summer like weather in October. We will definitely be going back to try the brunch. Definitely recommend.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding at Bristol Harbor Inn on 8/10/2024 and working with DeWolf was a wonderful experience. Sherri made the planning process so easy and stress free – She went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. Guests loved the appetizers and plated meals, the food was delicious, and DeWolf provided excellent staff on hand for the entirety of the night. I highly recommend choosing DeWolf Tavern as your wedding day caterer!
