We’ve started ordering online, so I can go in, by pass line, and pick up my food from the heated food lockers at the front desk, and avoid the drive thru lines. We had a large online order, so my food was placed in two separate heater lockers. To open my locker, I just enter a code I got from the online order. I entered my code and my first food locker opened. I had two pizzas and bread sticks. The locker are nice for keeping food hot, but bad design. The loading side opening (where they push food order in) is bigger than than the pickup side. Stupid design. The loading side was big enough for them to slide in two pizzas with bread sticks sitting on top. On my side, the pickup opening is much smaller. Only big enough to slide out one pizza box, not two pizza boxes with breadsticks sitting on top.
Problem 1. I couldn’t get the food out. Remember these are heated food lockers. I briefly tried to reach in to pull bread sticks off the pizza box and pull them out first; NOPE. Not enough room. I quickly realized how hot these oven lockers were, so had to abandon that idea.
Problem 2. I was going to try to pull out the two pizza boxes and let the bread sticks fall behind them; then I reach in to grab bread sticks bag. NOPE. My opening was just barely big enough for the two pizza boxes. So when I accidentally shift the boxes to the side while trying to grab them (remember it’s hot in there), the boxes got stuck.
Problem 3 Apparently there is a timer for someone to retrieve their food from these heated food lockers. I’m still standing there (feeling like an idiot). Still trying to wiggle out the pizza boxes, the the dang oven door shuts on me. I managed to get my hand out of the way right before the door closed and smashed the pizza box. Those jokers were stuck now. Now What? No one is at the front counter, so I had to stand there waiting for someone in back to see me. Eventually they saw me, and cashier walked up front to help. She had to open her side to get the food out and hand it to me.
Why design a heated food locker where the food items can’t be pulled out all together, the way it was loaded. I almost burned myself trying to get my food out of there. There isn’t enough room to grab a pizza box by gripping with one hand; grabbing top & bottom. I had intended to pull box out with one hand and support the bottom of box with other hand (so I don’t drop it). But since the dang opening wouldn’t allow two boxes to be pulled out (don’t forget the bread bag on top), I had to try and grab the left & right box edges. That area is tight too, and you can easily burn yourself.
Older visit
Speed isn’t this locations strong suit. Cashier at drive through was pleasant. We ordered specialty pizzas so we knew it would take a little longer for them to make them, they parked us saying to wait 10mins. We parked and waited almost 20 mins. No one every came out with our food. I had to go in and ask, Our food still not ready, I stood and waited another 5 mins in the lobby for our food, Food was good, but not worth waiting over 25 mins.
