Stopped here on a whim. There were about 5 people in line waiting to order, but it moved pretty quickly. I noted the fish is cooked to order, so be prepared to wait if that’s the route you take. You can also order for pickup, which is nice.
I got the jerk chicken plate; $22 including tax. It came with the option of pasta salad or cabbage; I chose pasta salad per recommendation of the gal taking my order.
The first bite of the rice punched me in my face with flavor (respectfully). It may be the best rice I’ve ever had. Then the jerk chicken said, “Hold my seasoning.” and I tasted just as good if not better. It was crispy, smoky, and sweet with just the right amount of spice. The pasta salad was good, but nothing special. I actually kind of liked that it gave the taste buds a bit of a break….
If you haven’t checked this place out, give it a try. I can’t wait to go back and try some other things on the menu.

This was the best plate I’ve ever had to go. By far in my top 5 spots in all of Washington. I am a foodie but this food seriously blew my socks off. So grateful for the opportunity to try it, highly recommend!

Stumbled upon this place on the way to the penninsula. The food came out quick and was fresh and packed with flavor. I had the curry chicken and it tasted like it had been stewing for hours. The chicken was real tender and slid right off the bone. The rice and peas was spot on and even the side of stewed cabbage was fantastic. Also had some fried plantains right out of the fryer. So delicious! Ill be back anytime I am near Tacoma.

I was happy to see and support a Caribbean food business in Seattle. The rice and peas and steam vegetables was delicious. The jerk shrimp and curry coconut shrimp wasn’t the most flavorful but it was descent. I was hoping to get authentic flavors but the food was good and I would return.

Great island food and happy service. Beef patties are NOT store frozen, Radta Pasta has just the right spice and heat to it and fried plantains are cooked to perfection, they melt in you mouth. These guys need to charge more for their plates, the pasta and patty and bananas came in around $38!
Well be back!!!!

Pulled up to Island Vybz and got hit with that real island energy right away. Ordered the Rasta pasta — creamy, spicy, loaded with those vibrant bell peppers — and the oxtail plate. Everything was seasoned to perfection, no shortcuts, no weak flavors — just pure, bold island vibes that transport you. If you’re craving real-deal Jamaican food that slaps harder than your favorite reggae beat, Island Vybz is a must-try. Highly recommend, 10/10, running it back ASAP!

Awful experience and food! They gave me the wrong order not 1 but 2 times and didn’t even offer an apology!!! I placed my original order around 4 pm, it was supposed to be done by 5:05…. However, due to their consistent errors I did not receive my final order until after closing at 6:20! After going through all this discombobulation and unprofessionalism I was hoping that the food would be worth it…WRONG! Food was not authentic Jamaican at all, oxtail was so tough that I didn’t even finish eating it (and for me to not eat an oxtail after paying high prices for it, is insane) and the jerk chicken was bland/flavorless. I ordered here after seeing the high rating and am still trying to figure out how a rating like that exists.

Drove by this place and did a huge U-turn to stop and get something. So glad I did. It was absolutely authentic and delicious! I am obsessed and will definitely be back. I got oxtails and plantains and when I say I ate everything- I mean I ate everything (except the bones!) the vibe was great too, they had huge smiles and seemed very genuine. 10/10 recommend!!

This was the first time I’ve ever had Jerk Chicken. Oh my goodness, it is Amazing!!!! The chicken fell off the bone. A wonderful first experience. There was soooo much food that it took me 3 different sittings to finish it. This was definitely worth the $20.
