Watawa is one of the few all you can eat places that doesn’t charge an arm and a leg. The Friday/weekend price is $31.75 per person, which is a steal considering you get sashimi, sushi, cooked options, and more. Service is also quite attentive and friendly, alongside that the atmosphere is quite nice and relaxing but nothing extraordinary.

Our go-to sushi spot for a reason. The fish is always fresh, the cuts are generous, and the flavors are well-balanced. Service is prompt and welcoming, and the restaurant maintains a clean, comfortable environment. Their specialty rolls are always creative and delicious, and the quality rivals much pricier spots.

Best sashimi dinner! Can’t believe how fresh, great variety of fish (proof of freshness: first time I’ve ever enjoyed the mushy umami fish at the top-right, dunno name). Same for the mixed greens in the salad. Consistent, and nice attention to detail: They even separate the fish with mint leafs instead of just plastic.
Lovely inside, good parking outside.

Don’t let the exterior fool you. the outside sign is unevenly lit and the business is currently attached to a construction zone, the food here is decent for the area. Upon entering, the first thing you’ll notice is their large Christmas tree, accompanied by a sign warning patrons that if their child is taller than a certain height, they will be charged full price.
The restaurant has about 25 tables and a spacious layout, with a beautiful sushi bar where food is prepared fresh. We visited on a Friday evening for the all you can eat dinner. When we arrived, there were only a couple of occupied tables, and some diners were preparing to leave. Within minutes of us sitting down, the restaurant filled up quickly and became quite loud.
I noticed there were four chefs working at the sushi bar, but only two female servers managing the dining area. They seemed overwhelmed, likely due to being short staffed that evening? While the servers were quick on their feet, requesting additional items became a bit of a challenge, as we often had to ask multiple times for sauces or other items.
Adding to the noise from the crowded restaurant, there was a loud, repetitive beeping sound that occurred every 3-5 minutes. We couldn’t figure out if it was online order notifications or an alert for food ready to be served. Whatever the reason, it was quite distracting, and no one seemed to acknowledge or silence it.
The food was served at a good pace after we ordered. The soups came out first and were enjoyable. Next, we tried a variety of appetizers, including calamari, shrimp shumai, and teriyaki chicken. Everything was good, there was no “wow” factor. We also tried sashimi, hand rolls, and tobiko, which were fresh and decent for the area.
Overall, the food quality was solid, but the experience had its drawbacks. For an all you can eat dinner (limited to 2 hours), the price is $32 per person, which doesn’t include drinks like soda or iced tea. Considering the location, it feels a bit pricey. They also offer some sweet treats, such as ice creams and fried Oreos.
One thing i would definitely recommend if them having more servers, and find a way to control the noise.

I am sharing this review because I am super disappointed and disgusted at the service of this restaurant. It sucks because the sushi is pretty good and it is my go to spot. If you ever have a pickup order this is where the issue is. Don’t even expect to be greeted or acknowledged. You can be waiting but the door for your food and no one is there to help you. The lady came out of the door looked at me and then away without helping me. Expect your food to be thrown on the counter at you instead. This is unacceptable

I love their all you can say deals. Amazing is not a word that can describe it and such a great value of money. When I heard that it was $25 per person I was worried that Sushi may not be good but it was totally the apposite. It was delicious and at the end I couldn’t say another but it was so much and it wasn’t like an other buffet where you eat what they have, here you order what you want and they keep on giving you. Wow…

Watawa used to be our favorite sushi place…recently every time we go they are changing the prices. Today me and my brother went and it was $63 and change for the both of us plus 2 drinks. Usually it’s $50 plus drinks. They always added tax which is fine but now add a 18% gratuity beforehand…but they cross out the gratuity with a pencil and act like they won’t be taking it and that it was a mistake. The total on the receipt said $88 minus the gratuity, which would be 76$ sand we gave $100 which means we should’ve gotten $24 back. We got back $11 WHICH MEANS THEY STILL TOOK THE GRATUITY AND ACTED LIKE THEY DIDNT CHARGE US FOR IT. anddddd still continued to put a tip line on the receipt! On top of this my sushi was sitting on the counter for 5 minutes and when I finally got my food it was warm. And I didn’t order fried sushi so it should be cool to room temperature! We are never going back unfortunately. Everyone is a scammer now.

Much better this time than the previous most recent experience, but with a few bad menu items (the sexy roll doesn’t taste as good as it used to, and the beef rib just tastes like chicken fried steak in the grossest way…) My only regret was not ordering more salmon sashimi.

I believe it was the seaweed salad and Kani salad that we got. I didn’t like them much. They had literally no flavor. Beautiful presentation but I wouldn’t suggest them.
The fish overall was very fresh and nicely cut and I found all the rolls and sushi pieces nicely done but NOTHING special, nothing remarkable. Meh!
The staff was not the friendliest either. We all noticed that.
I guess it is ok for “all you can eat” and the pricepoint but nothing special.

Great Sushi selection. Appetizers were great, especially the beef rib and shrimp tempura. Service was efficient, and the food came out fast. Sashimi was fresh, and sushi rolls had a great rice to fish ratio. Definitely recommend!
