We ate Tuesday morning (2/17) for our first morning in Marathon. The weather & outside view were beautiful. We asked for 2 waters. Immediately, they smelled off and tasted of chlorine, maybe sanitizer? They came from the silver serving pitchers (the pitchers that are walked around and refilled). It was absolutely disgusting! I heard a table farther down had the same issue. Other tables had water that was served out of table pitchers — we weren’t provided that option. Once we finally got our waitress’s attention, she swiftly took them away and we were given fresh (purified) water in a different glass. Obviously this put a terrible taste in our mouth and lowered our expectations for the food. The only solution was giving us our coffee for free and not apologizing or really acknowledging the situation. Acai bowl came half frozen. Support a local business and take your consideration for your health elsewhere.

After seeing the Lighthouse Kitchen and Bar on Life For Sale a few years ago, I marked it on my Google Maps for next time I was in Marathon. I did not do much research, so I was surprised that it was part of a Hilton Curio hotel. Nevertheless, this place was a great experience. The venue is very nice, and when we visited (lunch at the end of December) it was fairly empty even though it was sunny and 80 degrees.
We sat outside in their covered area which looks out on a small pool and the marina. This covered area is very nice and also has an outdoor bar.
My wife ordered the burger which was great and included a house made grilled patty and some impressively thick cuts of two cheeses. I ordered the fish tacos which were fresh and included a perfectly matched pineapple salsa.
All around a great experience, plus we were able to walk around the marina after eating.

A beautiful experience at this restaurant—warm and welcoming with a wonderful atmosphere. The service by Thiago was excellent; he made sure to accommodate my dietary needs by adjusting the dishes for me. One of the managers also kept checking on us to ensure everything was perfect. The food was delicious and very fresh. Highly recommended!

This was our second time eating here, we came on a whim last year and I remember liking it so we made reservations for us and our friends again this year. They were able to accommodate our large party of 4 adults and 7 kids. Our server (I think named Andrea) was one of the best and nicest waitresses I’ve ever had. The shrimp cocktail and tuna tar tar apps were amazing. My mahi dinner was amazing as well. Only complaint was service was a little slow but everything else made up for it. Make sure to sit outside, as inside does feel like a hotel lobby!

Had a fantastic experience at Faro Blanco! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service really stood out. Our server, Thiago, was amazing—friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel taken care of the entire time. He had great recommendations and checked in just the right amount. Experiences like this are why we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Nice covered outdoor seating. The staff was nice. The views are just okay since blocked by the marina and boats. The food was okay. Overpriced food. The tables are too close together with chairs constantly bumping into one another. You can find better places to eat in marathon with better views, better food and lower prices.

The upscale Waffle House! You wouldn’t believe the view it has, quite unlike any other. The difference is, I’ve seen more people stay seated at Waffle House and receive better service and customer care.
Drinks were good, cheers to Brian (running drinks, food, & bartending-would you like him to DJ and juggle too??)
Curio collection Hilton and Prime Hospitality, you’d think they would provide adequate resources to support the people running their operation. Satisfied customers=results=revenue. Their current strategy: do more with less…that’s like taking me to Waffle House and telling me I can have coffee and putting a splash in it. I’m neither caffeinated or satisfied, poor standard.
Time for a culture shift. Maybe knowing that several parties of 6+ left on a holiday night with a prixe menu will ding the metrics and revenue. Or maybe they won’t care and won’t do anything, which speakers louder.
Staff your location, give them resources and support, and you’ll see happier customers willing to open their wallets.
Thanks to the Manager for being sensible to remedy the situation with an understaffed team (don’t believe the tasks she committed to fall under traditional role expectations or duties of a manager, time to up her pay). Y’all don’t deserve her!

It’s winter, it’s part of the Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club, and your propane heaters don’t work (I wonder what happens with saltwater and metals that are less resistant to the environment, right, they won’t work), so much for offering outdoor seating when it’s in the 50’s.

The restaurant is beautiful, but unfortunately the service fell far below expectations. As soon as we sat down for breakfast yesterday (1/2/26), the issues were obvious. The tables were dirty, and it took over 20 minutes for a waiter to come to our table and greet us. After that, it was another 10+ minutes just to receive coffee and water.
While we were not in a rush, several other patrons were. After waiting a long time without being acknowledged, some of them left without ordering at all. All tables experienced long delays for food, and no one on staff seemed concerned.
It’s a shame that such a beautiful restaurant has such low service standards. I would stay at this hotel again because it is a lovely property; however, unless the quality of service at the restaurant improves significantly, I would not choose to dine there again.
