The Mahebourg pizza, however, was not that great to be honest, though it was still acceptable overall.
Overall, this place has a lovely vibe.
I ordered a chicken Milanese with salad, but the portion was extremely small. The chicken Milanese itself was tiny, and the side salad was also very small, made with 5 slices of tomato and mozzarella. On top of that, the mozzarella was still partially frozen, which was unacceptable.
Because the first dish was not enough, I had to order a second course: linguine all’arrabbiata. I regularly eat spicy food, but this dish was completely inedible. The level of spiciness was overwhelming and far beyond what can reasonably be enjoyed.
After eating the pasta, I actually felt sick and suffered from severe heartburn for the entire day, which made the experience even worse.
I also asked for bread, but I was told they didn’t have any.
Overall, I was very disappointed, especially considering the price. At these prices, one would expect decent portions and, above all, quality ingredients. I had eaten here before, about two years ago, and it seemed good back then, but this time it was a really bad experience. The food quality has clearly declined, and the portions are far too small.
I cannot recommend this restaurant. It’s much better to go to Luigi in Mont Choisy, where the portions are generous and the prices are very affordable.
The green chili paste served alongside the dishes was overly salty, as were the pizzas. The “Coin de Mire” pizza was particularly underwhelming, with only three small mussels that left me disappointed. The other pizzas shared the same problem—they were far too salty to be enjoyable.
One of the most surprising aspects was the onion and calamari dish, which I expected to be onion rings. Instead, it turned out to be battered onion, which didn’t quite meet my expectations.
However, not everything was a miss. The pistachio crème brûlée was a standout, with its rich, creamy texture and balanced flavors. This dessert was the only redeeming factor in an otherwise lackluster dining experience.
What should have been a pleasant family outing turned into a frustrating experience which I politely shared with the cashier. Instead of acknowledging and addressing the issue in a professional manner, the cashier’s attitude was “sell more” and we were simply encouraged to order additional food on a future visit to compensate for the initial shortcomings with a “fidelity card… This did not address the problem and frustration and only added to the dissatisfaction.
Overall, the service and food quality fell well below expectations.
Friendly staff, great atmosphere for family dinner.
Excellent service from dedicated staff Komul and Stephan. Thank you so much for the experience.
Will come back soon.
Overall, value for money.
The ambiance lacks some light and maybe an AC inside. A bit too dark.
Would visit again.
