We had lamb gyros and fries, awesome. Grandson had burger and fries. And I had the rice pudding which was delicious. Thanks. If we are ever back in the area, we will sure stop by again.
ORGINALLY POSTED: Service was amazing I’m assuming the owner or manager was the one cooking and waiting on us. He was incredibly kind! Gyros are really good! And have really really good desserts especially chocolate chip cookie. It is more of a to go place inside is small and not best looking.
We were in the area returning from an appointment and had a craving for a gyro. I pulled over, did a search on my phone and found this place. Ratings were four plus stars, must be good. We went in and saw a Daily Special, a gyro, drink and desert for $13.95. We ordered two specials, drinks and rice pudding as desserts. Nobody else in the place and the kitchen staff got to work on our order. We’re sitting there for just a few minutes and my wife says ‘you know, we are getting pork gyros?’ Oh no, that’s not what we wanted, but too late to do anything about it. After all, how mad can it be? Well, this was not a good experience. Look at my photos and tell me there’s more than 4-5 shaved bits of pork on this sandwich. Loads of tomato and onion and lots of tasty tzatziki sauce on a soft, warm, wonderful pita, but the lack of meat is shameful. I reread some of the reviews and wondered what day the ‘meaty portions’ were served. And straight pork gyros? If it wasn’t for the sauce, it would have tasted like a sliced pork roast pita sandwich with onion and tomato. I looked behind the counter and only saw the one spit that our meat came from so I don’t know if we could have a had a ‘real’ lamb and beef gyro that day anyway. But hey, the fries were good and the rice pudding was really good. Our daughter has been there and she raves about it so we will try it again and I will call ahead to make sure the real meat is offered that day.
I love Gyros and one of my favorite places is in Punta Gorda.
Well the time has come for I just found it’s competition!
By far better than I thought it would be and the owner was super friendly and pleasant. Great customer service. You have to try these Gyros, very delicious and full of flavor. You won’t be disappointed!
