Reviews
The place was packed. Our drinks came quickly and we placed the food order. It took a little time to get the food because of the crowd. One of out party had a salad another, the loaded nachos, the liver and onions was another order along with two fat Philly cheese steaks Everything was great. Except the waffle fries they were over cooked and hard as brick bats. That was the only fault you could find with the food. The service was great. Our waitress Mandy was great. She was bar tending and in charge of the entire dining room and the patio. Haven’t seen anyone move that fast and keep 7 or 8 tables and the bar satisfied.
When we finally got our food after far too long of a wait for the amount of customers they had, my boyfriend’s burger and my steak were both overcooked. We each asked for some variation of rare, and instead got well-done. Asked for a new steak and got one that was cooked properly. They did not charge us for their blunder, which was good. But all the food tasted like they were afraid to season it properly and I was sorely disappointed considering how packed I’ve always seen the place at peak hours.
Service would have been better had everything— and I mean everything— not taken so needlessly long. Will not be coming back. Prices were OK but in my opinion, not reasonable for the quality of food served and the overall experience.
We have been here 2 times prior and everyone was friendly and helpful and they were tipped well
We are not happy about this
Husband’s ribs were very good and our appetizer of pretzels with queso but my patty melt wasn’t worth the $9. The meat was hard and onions were burnt. I didn’t even finish it. Had to ask our waitress 2 and sometimes 3 times for things. Will go back but order things we’ve had before.
We arrived at 7:30 PM and were seated with a group of 25 for a birthday party. We had reserved seats for a large group, but the staff only set a table of eight. We waited 25 minutes for a waitress after asking three different servers.
At 8:15 PM, we placed our food orders, and at 8:50 PM, we were informed that everyone in our group needed to pay an additional $5 for the band. However, there were no signs for a cover charge at the entrance or anywhere else. There was also no table at the door.
To make matters worse, a rude man at the patio entrance hung a sharpie-drawn $5 cover charge sign at 9 PM after we had already been seated in the patio area. We weren’t there for a band, so this was completely unnecessary.
If you’re planning to go when a band is playing, I recommend using the back door by the bathroom, the backside driveway, or parking up top and walking down. There’s no charge there! They don’t check for wristbands, and maybe 10% of people had them.
Asking large groups or anyone for extra cash after they’ve already been seated is completely wrong and immoral. The double burger we ordered was also not very good.
The situation became uncomfortable—our server could not explain why we were never informed of the cover charge beforehand, and Bailey seemed frustrated as well. The lack of communication and organization, especially on a busy Saturday night, reflects poorly on an established restaurant that should have clear policies in place for dinner service.
This was particularly disappointing because we were celebrating my father’s 60th birthday, and the evening was ruined due to untrained staff and a manager who admitted she was running the place alone without giving employees the guidance they needed to handle situations like this.
