Great experience at Sahuayo in Gonzalez. First off the food was all really fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I assume it is a much more authentic Mexican experience than I am accustomed to and that is what the difference was in how the food was prepared. The portions were all nicely sized and the cost of everything was very reasonably priced. The staff was all exceptional, friendly and attentive to everyone’s needs. I had the Fish Tostada and the Barbacoa Tacos, both were straight FIYA. Queso, and bean dips were both on point as well. Large variety of sodas and cervasas on hand if you are thirsty. First time here, definitely not the last.

Really great option for some solid Mexican (not Tex Mex) in Louisiana. Hard to find good options in this state. Ordered a Gordita and 4 tacos. Everything had great flavor. The salsa that comes with chips is petty average, but the green taco salsa is on point. Good level of spice and very tasty. Service was friendly.

OMGoodness! Authentic tex-mex cooking. Everything was fresh and beautifully cooked. Mmm Cold salsa! Homemade tortillas. The prices are on point. The service with a smile was nice. The menu is in Spanish and English. Daily lunch specials are printed on the front of the menu. Definitely recommend this eatery.

The restaurant is well decorated and very clean. The food that I had was awesome and we got it to go.
The store which is located next door on the corner has plenty in stock. Some fresh vegetables and a nice deli are located inside. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. Definitely worth a visit for anyone craving authentic cuisine!

Food was good, the tripa taco could’ve been a bit more crunchy, I should’ve asked. But tacos were pretty good. The guacamole was fresh and good.

This place is great it’s connected to a grocery store. The food is freaking delicious and the waiters are very nice. As you can see in the pics we ordered way too much. But it was good thing because we had lunch for the next day. We had nachos and tacos along with a cevichi and something else, several beers and a couple orders of fries. All in All well worth it for 4 guys to still have leftovers.

Great menu. The shrimp and octopus ceviche was delicious…so were the tacos. The carnitas was my favorite. Good portions, good value. Restaurant was clean. Service friendly and especially patient with me not speaking Spanish. Food came out quickly.

Wow! Didn’t even know this place was here behind the grocery store. Delicious, fresh, REAL. I hade Torte Cubana and hubs had chili releno. Came at 1230. Place was humming. The green sauce is soo deliciously spiceu. Can’t wait to come back because there are so many things I’d love to try
