The wings I received during my 2nd visit didn’t disappoint either. Not only are they delicious, they’re also BIG. No pigeon wings served here. The fried okra was so good on the 1st visit, I had to have it again.
I was greeted enthusiastically on both occasions. It’s nice when people appreciate you visiting their establishment. I look forward to trying the other menu items, including desserts.
Owners Kenny and Ed are super friendly and very knowledgeable about their Q.
We tried the ribs and chicken.
Pretty dang good! The coleslaw was vinegar based, my favorite, and the green beans not greasy or salty, just perfect.
I would prefer a roll, cornbread, or even a hush puppy over their garlic toast. Brunswick stew is delicious.
We also tried a huge piece of peach pound cake. Thick, moist, and filling.
Overall, it’s a great find. There is no sign yet, but they are open!
Doordash also picked up while we were there. Good to know.
yesterday, i ordered the brisket sandwich combo with collards! my sister ordered the pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese(THAT MAC AND CHEESE IS SUM SERIOUS MMMKAY?!) we added smoked baked beans, fried okra, potato salad and brunswick stew. the food is flavorful & delicious. their homemade bbq sauce is yummmmy! the atmosphere is cozy and homey. the music is great and the customer service is excellent. i felt like i was at my aunties and thems bbq! this is our second time here and i can’t wait to continue to make this a regular visit! please be mindful that the seating is limited but the service is quick and even if you have to wait, it’s worth it. they’ve been there a month and i can’t wait to see them continue to excel.
if you get a chance, stop in and grab a bite. i promise it’s worth it.
Brisket was very tasty. They even included some burnt ends which were super flavorful.
The Brunswick stew is also excellent. I’d recommend that for sure.
There isn’t a ton of seating, but when we went we had a place to sit. If it gets busy, there are some parks nearby where it’d be easy to enjoy your meal.
I’m excited to go back!
