Only thing I would recommend is that they need to be more consistent with “plating” as my husband’s plate came with 1 piece of celery and my plate did not.
Went back for a second time to give this place another try and very disappointed…. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich this time and they barely put any meat on my sandwich. It was more bread than anything. I was seriously thinking this is not real that the cook really served this like it was okay. Not going back. Just go to American Deli.
We got a mixture of boneless and traditional wings mild. The boneless wings were extremely salty and the traditional wings were extremely bland. We also got some hush puppies and they were decent. If you like really salty food, then this may be a good place for you. I had to spit the food out. We absolutely wasted $40 on 27 wings and some fries.
I wish I could say the restaurant was clean. For the most part it was. There was, however, a giant shoe print on our table. I’ll attach a picture of it.
The workers were nice, but whoever is in charge is a stickler about the ranch. They have little cups of prepackaged (not made in store) dressing. When I asked for more they said it would cost extra. I know several places try to charge more for sauces so I get it. This was just icing on the cake of my bad experience.
I really want Sylacauga to have good food options instead of places that just serve the cheapest possible food at the highest possible price. If you have lived in Sylacauga for more than five years, then you can name 10 places that have tried this and shut down. Ironically, this restaurant is the old Pizza Hut that closed because they kept lowering the quality of the food trying to save money. Learn from the people who have tried and failed. If you make good food, people will come. If not, be ready to lose your restaurant. Slam Dunk will be closed within two years.
