The pizza was pretty good. If you’ve had Mark’s pizzeria, it’s very similar. The crust is very thick and fluffy, sauce is not too sweet, overall it’s a good pizza.
We received 12 garlic parm wings, which were pretty good. Very crispy, very buttery. Now, we ordered 12 BBQ wings, but we received Country Sweet. We were a little disappointed, but we did enjoy the Country Sweet sauce.
There was a bit of a wait too. We were told it would be about 30 minutes and it ended up being around 40 I think. If you order ahead like we did and you take your time getting there, it’s not a big deal. They were pretty busy when we got there.
The total before our coupon was around $70 I think. But with the coupon we had it was ~$60. Not the cheapest pizza in the area, but I think it’s worth the price.
The last manager was unbelievably rude, and the current one (not sure of his name. Wears a baseball cap all the time.) isn’t much better. The way he talks to customers is shockin.. dismissive, snappy, and downright disrespectful at times. If I ever spoke to people like that at work, I wouldn’t have a job the next day.
And the way he interacts with the younger staff? Completely inappropriate and uncomfortable to watch. (Parents note this when your kid wants a job.) There’s no professionalism, no boundaries, and absolutely no structure. It feels like no one is actually in charge of anything.
Basic hygiene is another huge issue. I’ve seen employees handling food with no gloves, no hair nets, and wearing clothes that definitely don’t belong in a kitchen. It does not inspire confidence in what’s happening behind the counter when customers aren’t looking.
The food used to be decent, which is why we stayed loyal for so long, but now it’s inconsistent and thrown together. There are plenty of other places in town that put actual care into their food and their staff… this one just doesn’t. ♀️
If the owner sees this: you should be embarrassed by the people representing your business. Customers aren’t avoiding your pizza, they’re avoiding the way your store is being run. (And who runs it)
We won’t be returning, and I’ve already suggested the same to friends and family.
I did order “thin” crust and it wasn’t what I would consider thin but it was fine. Cup char pepperoni and as great. Good amount of cheese. Pretty solid and the price was right. Not a fan of the small slices though. I’ll request a 8 sliced pie next time and see if they do it.
“Update” the last few times were HORRIBLE. Slop pizza and rude staff. Totally different experience the past year. Really unfortunate
Pizza- no sauce at all, hardly any pepperoni and it was a burnt pizza.
Wings- one order had sauce the second order did not. The wings were breaded which has never been the case.
$62 later this experience was horrible. Usually food is good but something is off and I want to make sure the operator or manager in charge gets ahead of it before it spirals out of control. I did speak with lexi who needs customer service and customer recovery training.
I am beyond frustrated with my meal. I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and peppers, an order of fries and garlic parmesan wings with extra sauce.
Once I arrive home I realize the pizza only has pepperoni on it so I call the store and am told they gave me the wrong pizza and to bring the pizza I currently have, back. Pretty sure that’s a major health code violation.
I drive back to the store and the guy inspects the pizza and is ready to give it to the lady sitting behind me whose pizza it actually belongs to. The girl at the counter intervenes and tells me to take both pizzas home… so I did.
Upon arriving home and inspecting the rest of my order I see that the wings are extremely dry and have no additional sauce. They are so dried out that when I tried to use a fork to cut one in half, it flew off of my plate and onto the floor.
I have lived in Canandaigua for 6 years and often tell my daughter, who is a big Mark’s/Pontillo’s fan, that Perri’s is better… I guess I have to now let her win this round of battle of the pizzas. Absolutely disgusting.
I did not feel too well and my daughter just had a tooth extracted… we truly were looking for a good cheat meal and a quiet/relaxing night in. This ruined it and we wound up without dinner.
Oh and they apparently do not know how to properly cut a pizza!
