Las Palmas es muy delicioso!!

Atwood Street is where you’ll find Las Palmas tacos. Locating parking can be challenging but don’t get upset! Because these tacos son muy ricos! (Very good). Atwood street is a one way street so take that into account. When trying to find parking I found that taking boulevard of the Allies all the way in until you meet Basset st, hanging a left at that light and taking it up until you run into Atwood street is the best route.

The tacos are done on an outside flattop grill. The well seasoned and well loved flattop grill pumps the tacos out in a timely manner. As your eyes grow as large as your stomach, the mind paces its thoughts on what you’re about to do to these finely done corn tortillas and choice of meat tacos. Finally in what seems to be a blink of an eye your tacos are done and waiting to be garnished by no one other than you. You’ll find the garnishes to the left of the flattop grill and it’s up to you to pick your toppings. The selection is plentiful between the cilantro, salsas, limes, and toppings the tacos become your canvas of love! But don’t forget about the..

..Tienda (store) right behind the gentleman who makes these wonderful joys, is a door to Mexico itself. Finding all the joys of a Mexican tienda right here in Pittsburgh Pa!!!The store houses Mexican candies, spices, pops, and candy as well as a deli in the back. This place is a little piece of Mexico nestled into the college community of Oakland!

Good street tacos near Oakland. Muy authentico. Not expensive. Definitely not a sit down place though. You order at the mini grocery store/ bodega checkout register and the tacos are prepared out front.

Little grocery store is packed with good produce and fresh prepared goods as well as usual canned/bagged snacks and spices. Tacos in front are cheap and excellent for the price – many of the salsas have great heat and flavor. 4 stars because the area is somewhat dangerous and slummy (not safe at night or alone, especially for girls). Also the taco stand consistently fails health inspections year after year which isn’t a surprise considering all the taco toppings just sit out exposed for hours a day. You better have an iron gut because there’s a decent chance of getting some bug from here.

Not really a restaurant, more of a grocery store. There is a dude out front who grills your tacos . Tacos and everything he makes is very good . definitely a super authentic place to go

Far from the cleanest, but still a local gem. Prices are unreliable; I’ve paid $9 for a cabbage one day and $3 for it another. Many items are unlabeled, but if you ask for prices, the total will often not be the sum of the items you gave them (last time I was there, my $5 crema and $4 of corn totaled almost $13). The deli section also smells rancid most days of the week.

However, with all of this being said, it’s the only grocery store in central or south Oakland open past 5pm. Without it, we would be a food desert. I think this is why the city obviously turns a blind eye to their numerous health code violations.
Also, their tacos are awesome.

Best street tacos you’re gonna find I’ve tried a few places here in Oakland every las palmas I’ve been to has made exquisite food and it’s highly convenient at a great price. If you’re a fan of tacos, I suggest checking them out. You get to put your own fixings on too.
