The restaurant was less crowded than I expected for a Saturday night. Pretty place with lots of space between tables. We started with some wine which they freely offered tastes prior to selecting. We had the brussels appetizer which was good. For entrees I had the gnocchi and my wife shared the mushroom bread and butternut squash and burrata. Everything was good but nothing was outstanding.

Great experience with attentive, helpful wait staff! Had the cheese board, pommes dauphine to start that were a great combo with really good acidic components on the cheese board to cut the richness of the potato/cream. Shared their fall risotto which had great flavor a a good mix of veggies and mushrooms. The real star was the chocolate torte dessert that was rich and delicious!

Went for a nice weeknight dinner, and we loved the atmosphere. The cauliflower appetizer was very good, and my entree of the gnocchi was very yummy. Decent selection of wine and a small list of cocktails. Dessert was good we really like th chocolate torte and basque cheesecake.

Lovely dinner with a large party and the service was great, friendly and attentive. The food was good, mostly yummy (Tuna), some dishes missed the mark (Calamari was disappointing, greasy and limp; Burnt Basque Cheesecake was weird with the rose floral flavor).
But overall a fun dinner.

Andrea with Offline – This was our first time trying this new restaurant, and the food was wonderful! Beautiful plating and attention to detail. The fall risotto with butternut squash, mushrooms, brussels was especially delicious. We went on a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was pretty empty. I wish more people knew about this place and hope business picks up for them soon! Suggest that Stellar posts less photos of the Basque cheesecake on instagram (which honestly doesn’t look that appealing) and more of their other dishes, vibe, etc… might help the marketing.

Stellar is probably one of my favorite restaurants. We started with the butternut squash & burrata salad; for dinner we had the coq au vin (chicken) and filet; and wrapped up our meal with the specialty s’mores cake for dessert. FANTASTIC!! What I also love is the open kitchen concept, meaning you can watch the chef prepare the dishes.

From the moment we walked in, the experience felt warm and welcoming. The service was excellent—attentive without being intrusive—and the staff clearly take pride in making guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. They were knowledgeable about the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations, and timed everything perfectly throughout the meal. It’s the kind of service that elevates the entire dining experience.
The menu itself is well curated, balancing familiar favorites with creative options, and the rotating specials are a standout feature. They keep things fresh and give you a reason to come back to see what the kitchen is highlighting next. Between the strong menu and the genuinely attentive staff, it’s a place that gets the details right and leaves a great impression.

We found this gem on a whim and had a lovely dining experience! Great ambiance and delicious food. We enjoyed the Calamari Fritti and Tuna Tataki but the Fried Cauliflower was our favorite!

Stellar in Raleigh absolutely lives up to its name. The food was incredible—every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. It’s clear the kitchen takes pride in what they do. I had a chance to thank the team and they genuinely appreciated the feedback—Head Chef Ann and Sous Chef Tim were both gracious and clearly passionate about their craft.
The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, perfect for a relaxed evening or a date night. The owners, Daniel and Mandy, were warm, welcoming, and made the whole experience feel personal rather than transactional.
What really stood out was how reasonable the pricing was for the quality of the experience. You could easily have a romantic dinner for two for under $100 without constantly checking the menu prices.
If you’re in Raleigh and want exceptional food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a place that clearly cares about the experience they’re creating, Stellar is absolutely worth a visit.

The ambiance at Stellar was absolutely lovely, and the owners were so gracious and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly and gave us spot-on wine recommendations. We started with the calamari and then shared the Brussels sprouts with blue cheese and bacon (a must!) and the sliders, which tasted like the best elevated version of a Big Mac, comforting but high-end. Definitely recommend for a cozy date night! I’ve also heard their brunch is amazing, especially the eggs Benedict, and I’ll definitely be back to try it.
