Nagasaki Inn is a Memphis treasure. Nagasaki Inn is my favorite Japanese Hibachi restaurant in Memphis and Shelby County.
The atmosphere has an iconic 1980’s vibe, the food is always excellent, the service is always very good to excellent. Our family eats at Nagasaki Inn often as it is an awesome experience and an awesome restaurant.

We visited with a group of 8 and had a fantastic time. The food was really good and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and we really enjoyed the show and candor of the cook while he was preparing the meal. We will definitely be back!

I went for the first time with my family last night. Both the service and food were AWESOME.
We arrived when the restaurant first opened at 5pm on a weekday, and got a hibachi table immediately with some of the other guests. The staff were very nice, and the food tasted good. Our chef just absolutely *made* the experience. I grew up in Memphis, TN, and I can’t believe that I’m only learning about this place now. We enjoyed everything, and we definitely plan to return
Footnote: we tried the egg rolls as an appetizer, and they were a pleasant surprise for us. They’re sausage-meat based, and very tasty; my family liked the sauce that goes with them.
Overall, just a good experience!

My whole family has been coming here for special occasion dinners (birthdays, graduations, etc.) for as long as I can remember. There is always a big group of us (usually around 15) and we have never had to wait more than 10mins to be seated and the food has never received a single complaint from any of us which is something miraculous! Everybody has a great time, enjoys a phenomenal meal, and a few good laughs thanks to the hibachi chefs who are always so friendly and entertaining. 10 out of 10! WILL ALWAYS RECOMMEND!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Have eaten at Nagasaki since 1981. The excellence of the food has never waivered. We are always treated as family by the staff. Because of that, the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

I really enjoy coming to this restaurant. I always come with a friend and have a meal and some Sake. Very good. They have been around for years, I’ve been coming here since high school back in 88.

I haven’t been here in years and it’s still as nostalgic as I remember. I was the first and only one in there and was seated the back immediately at a hibachi table. What looked like the owner or manager quickly brought me water.
I decided to start with 2 sushi rolls
Salmon skin roll
KamkaziI roll
Both were really tasty. And tasted fresh.
I got the hibachi chicken and steak and babyyy those sauces that came with them.
Everything was so good and the chef was so friendly. Since I was the only one at the table we had a great conversation.
I actually forgot why I stopped coming here but this will def be my go to hibachi spot now.

This place has literally been a staple in Memphis since I was a kid, 50 years and going strong.
Food was excellent, reasonably priced and the bar was actually quite good. Enjoyed a wonderful Kirin with my meal!
Some people might question the area it’s located in, but trust me, this is a safe place and you’ll be glad you went.

Excellent Japanese hibachi restaurant, and the oldest one in the city of Memphis!
Geographically centered in the middle of the city, this restaurant is very convenient for most Memphians to access and delivers on food and atmosphere! In addition, reservations are recommended -particularly on weekends!
Highly recommended!
