Amazing EVERYTHING!! ❤️ The minute we walked in the door for our reservation the experience of fine dining was prevalent! We love Indian food! Saffron’s is top tier. The food was plated lovely, tasted amazing, topped with creative fun drinks and stellar service. I can’t wait to go back. We did the chefs choice for 80.00 per person. Worth every penny!!! Love this restaurant

All their dishes were really good. The best thing we ate over here was the Vegetable Biryani. The Dal Makhani was also very good. I liked all their cocktails as well.

We lived their food enough to come here twice in 3 days. Definitely recommended if you are in Milwaukee.

High end modern Indian with quality ingredients, and excellent service.
Crispy cauliflower had a tasty sweet spicy sauce. Lamb curry was delicious. Lamb shank biriyani is not to be missed. Attentive service. Be aware this is fine dining downtown and thus appropriately pricier than standard Indian fare.

They even personally called me to let me know when the kitchen closed relative to my reservation.

This is the only place in US with authentic Chole Bhature. I am from Chandigarh and I moved to US 5 years ago. Since then, I was craving for authentic Chole Bhature and finally I found the real taste at saffron. Truly chatpati (tangi) Street style chole and fluffy soft bhature with no oily feeling. Delicious

Saffron is one of my husband and I’s favorite restaurants! The food is always delicious and consistent every single time we visit. The staff is absolutely amazing so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We also love that it’s the same staff each time, which really says a lot about how well the restaurant is run. The manager is AMAZING and truly makes the experience even better. The atmosphere is great and we always leave happy. Highly recommend!

First time eating here. Wasn’t sure I’d like Indian food. Had their buttered chicken and Garlic Nan. Calamari …. Probably the best I’ve had anywhere. I literally cannot wait to go back. Speciality drinks were top notch. Highly recommend.

If I could give more stars, I would. Suggest getting reservations, if you’re planning to come. We walked in and got lucky at about 5:30 on a Saturday night, snagging the only unreserved table. Service was exceptional from start to finish. Every dish was masterfully crafted and ready extremely quickly. Don’t pass on the drinks– you can’t miss with a mango lasse or mocktail. All halal meat, and even have gluten free bread. We dined out on the patio at sunset, overlooking the river. Perfect!

Saffron offers a fantastic combination of great food, an equally cool ambiance, and excellent service. My wife and I opted for the tasting menu, and everything tasted delicious.
My wife’s selections included the Chettinad Crab Cakes, Lobster Malai, and Lacha Paratha for bread, finishing with Shahi Tukda for dessert. While the Lobster Malai tasted great, she felt the gravy was a bit sparse.
I chose the Chicken 65, Lamb Shank Biryani, and Black Garlic Naan, with Coffee Stones for dessert. The lamb in the biryani was a highlight, practically falling off the bone and cooked to perfection.
I also tried the Spiced Saffron Tea, which was presented uniquely and tasted great. However, at $18, it was a bit pricey.
Overall, Saffron provides an amazing experience. The staff are attentive and helpful with menu selections, though parking can be a challenge.

Lovely meal with friends. Accommodated a friend running 15 minutes late with no problem. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Food was top notch. The lamb madras was as tender and tasty as I’ve ever had. The cocktail list could keep you very busy. All the drinks we tried were just as good as the food. Not the cheapest meal you’ll ever have, but worth every penny. Parking is the usual downtown crapshoot. Highly recommended.

Very lovely dining experience at saffron! our server was so helpful and attentive, and the food was also delish. We got to sit outside on the river.

We got lots of apps and split them – including the chicken, cauliflower, lamb, and Chana masala.

Lots of gluten free options and my first time having fancy Indian food. They also have cool cocktails.
