2/26 – Early on a Thursday, only a few in the house. Waited on quickly, Stouts for us; Guinness & Left Hand / looked at the Irish fare but decided on a quick meal as we were on the move / Wings for me with Carolina gold ( a little overdone ). Wife had fried breaded shrimp, she liked the breading. The place in general seemed not in its prime but for a small town, provided the food & service we needed. Enjoyed our visit, no reason not to come back.

Side note: what are the odds, 9 out of my 10 wings were dummies

After reading some of the reviews I lowered my expectations of what my experience at Three Ravens would be. Upon walking in the place was dark despite being mid day. Lunch rush should have been well under way but there were very few in the restaraunt/pub. With a name like 3 Ravens I was anticipating an Irish or British vibe on the menu and in the decor. The bar and bar back does have potential to be quite interesting and attractive but the shelves of the bar back were jam packed cluttered with dusty bottles and assorted barware. I ordered a cocktail an Old Fashioned and called out a top shelf bourbon. The bartender made it without much flourish, offered no conversation or customer engagement of any kind. It was garnished with half an orange slice and a cheap artificially colored and flavored marashino cherry. I suspect she was more concerned with wrapping water spotted silverware than than serving beyond the minimum to a paying customer at the bar. I reviewed the menu printed on nothing more than laminated place mats. While sitting at the bar reviewing my sticky placemat menu. I asked the bartender if this was a Lunch menu or was there a dinner menu offering later in the day. The reply was “That’s the only menu.” As I said earlier I was hoping for something Irish pub related only thing I saw was “Pot O Gold Nacho’s” Something more likely originating south of the Rio Grande than from across the Atlantic with exception to the waffle cut potato fries. Their website refers to Bangers n Mash, and a Reuben offering but I didn’t find them on the placemat menu. Dissapointed with the uninteresting menu, the ambiance bright and cheery as a dusty cave, and the lack of warm engagement by the bartender I paid for my drink and tipped a more than generous 20%. I ventured elsewhere in town for a better overall experience. In a phrase I’ll recap my experience at 3 Ravens “About as pleasurable as a shin kicking from a Leprechaun”

The good, the bad and the ugly with 3 Ravens.

First the good, great location on the square and the staff is awesome. Also good that is a small business and not a chain.

The bad, they position as an Irish restaurant but they have almost no Irish food. The menu is very limited and is mostly American food.

The ugly, they always seem to be out of many of their dishes. They consistently don’t have steak, they haven’t had bangers in months. They are frequently out of many of their dishes. Nobody wants to go to a restaurant to be told they are out of so many things.

Bottom line: Restaurant is desperately in need of a rescue, management seems to not care about the food. Avoid the frustration and go elsewhere. This is not an Irish restaurant in anything but name. Besides the friendly staff there is not much worth going here for.

My son and I had lunch at 3 Raven’s today. It was busy after the Christmas parade but that did not effect the food or service. Our appetizer and meal both came out in a reasonable time. All the food and service was great as always. The cottage pie was perfect on a cold winter day and their wings were big, crispy, and seasoned perfectly. Their prices are very fair as well. This is our favorite place to go for a sit down meal in Monticello and highly recommend it to anyone who is in the area looking for a good dining experience.

We went here for dinner and sat in the bar area. I had the Rueben and the wife had a chicken sandwich. Meal was excellent, and the food came out quick even though it was crowded. I typically get the wings here, they are the best wings in the county. They have a good draft beer selection as well.

Love 3Ravens. I guess you could say I’m a “regular” now – so I get the joy of hearing people say, “Hi Michelle!” when I walk in, and I love that in a small town restaurant/bar. I go every Tuesday for trivia which I LOVE. My menu favorites: Ribeye Steak Sandwich, Shrimp Avocado Taco Salad, and Buffalo Wings! The owners really do a lot to support the community, and that MATTERS! Grateful to have this business in Monticello.

First time coming here the spot itself was clean not to loud and waited on food about the usual time.the appetizers were good but my husband and I both ordered ribeye steak dinners, we asked for medium cooked steaks and they were both rare and cold my green beans were cold I didn’t eat mine and when I told the waitress I wasn’t gonna pay for the steak she thought it would be better to knock off 25% of my steak witch was $5.25. Atleast my Dog Bailey ate good. We Will Not be back!

Came here on a whim while waiting for the track meet. Fantastic service, great atmosphere, and couldn’t ask for more! I will definitely come back!!
We had the sesame and almond crusted Ahi Tuna for an appetizer, Angry Chicken with Gorgonzola Bacon Fries, and Pasta with Salmon. The fish was fresh and the pasta was awesome. Great mixture of flavors!!

Capped it off with a honey badger drink which was the perfect blend of honey, rumchata, and not sure because it was amazing!!

I can’t stress enough how great the service was. The wait staff and bartenders were amazing and all helped.

It is a bit expensive but food is worth it. The waitress was very pleasant and her husband is the cook. They are the owners made sure we had everything we needed without being too pressured. She carried on a actual conversation with us. I had a hamburger with awesome coleslaw and iced tea. Hamburger was made from hamburger there. Not frozen .
